We can pretty much lock in Danger to the Cats some time this off-season.

Richmond Nige, Richmond!

Jroo

With the Crows list they really should be playing finals.
Sando hasn't done heaps and there's been a little bit of talk about him being under pressure, so not a massive shock.

Gary Ayres to return.  :P

Was seriously going to post this in the OP

From what I've heard he is loving coaching as much as ever, and would love a crack at AFL Level again

Oh the Irony!
Crows fans would burn the city down if this happened.

Might sound crazy but what if the Crows hierarchy wanted to put Danger up for trade but Sando was 100% against it and there was a rift?
Highly doubt the Crows hierarchy would want to trade Dangerfield until he has said he won't re-sign.

We should be playing finals and the last 2 seasons have been massive failures. Bomber Thompson now, book it in.

Btw if Danger was to request a trade it would be to Hawthorn I think. Give us Schoenmakers in return ::)

Danger will likely keep the Crows hanging, that's where the theory comes in that they should trade him now rather than lose out if he walks at the end of next year.

Would teams be willing to give us adequate compensation though knowing they could pick him up for nothing a year from now...

I'm on board with it.  8)

True, but an extra year of his services would certainly have value and it may be the difference between a team winning a premiership and just missing out so they might be willing to play ball.

after reading your comment i was thinking maybe they were pretty sure he wanted to go and decided they will trade him this year so they get a decent deal and yeah Sando didn't want to

And what would Richmond have to offer to make it an even trade?

That's crazy

Why do clubs insist on giving contract extensions? It happens all the time, and now they have to pay out an extra 2 years

Because he had a clause in his contact nullifying the extension if we didn't make finals ;)

Mailman the 2nd

Not really surprised, was given every opportunity and showed nothing past 2012
