Docherty was a nice little pickup for a quick cash grab during the year or to keep as a bench option. He seems to fit into the Blues defence quite nicely and has cemented his spot there. His main problem seems to be his disposal efficiency which at times was pretty bad.He is a sneaky chance at dpp mid/def but I wouldn`t bet my house on it.He will more than likely be priced awkwardly tho which will put a few coaches off.One to monitor tho but more likely a couple of years away.

Vinny

I think he has the potential to become a defender premium in 1-2 years. 76 average in second year and he will continue to improve. Doesn't warrant a spot in your starting line-ups for SC yet but worth a look in your draft leagues as he is best 22 and shown he can pump out good scores.

Nice write-up LF.

This could be his breakout year, 4th year in the system.. How many times have we seen it? (David Swallow this year plus plenty more).

Would've thought his disposals were fairly good.. 212/293 disposal were effective which is quite good, just above the average (71.4%)

However as mentioned likely to be a premium defender after a few more solid years but definitely worth a look in.

Will be priced at about $415k which is 30k more than I would be willing to spend but will very keenly watching.

Agreed. Have a big watchlist but not many defenders on it.
If players like Mitchell, mcviegh and hanley lose their DPP we mite have to b a bit more creative. Docherty will become an option.
Can see him averaging possibly 90 and that would b a good outcome for D6/.
