First draft. I won't lie, not as knowledgeable this year as I should be. No point adding my locks yet.

#2 Melbourne - Christian Petracca
#3 GWS - Jake Lever
#4 Brisbane - Peter Wright
#5 Western Bulldogs - Sam Durdin
#6 Carlton - Angus Brayshaw
#7 Gold Coast - Lachie Weller
#8 Collingwood - Darcy Moore
#9 Adelaide - Sam Durdin
#10 West Coast - Jarrod Pickett
#11 Richmond - Hugh Goddard
#12 Fremantle - Liam Duggan
#13 Geelong - Paul Ahern

#15 North Melbourne - Reece McKenzie
#16 Port Adelaide - Tom Lamb

There's one glaring omission from that list.  8)

If we lock in Moore at 8 that would now be cheating wouldn't it.

*You cannot choose a F/S selection as a lock

Mr.Craig

That's his twin brother...who also happens to have the same name.

Adelaide would be pretty pissed if they tried to take a player who'd already been drafted.

Yes, replace Durdin's twin with Laverde and we're looking respectable.

Mr.Craig

You know what, I think I was moving players around and that's what happened. Laverde should be there.

as somebody who likes to study the draft a fair bit, this is going to be the hardest draft to pick in years! No REAL standout for #1, and from about Pick 5 onwards there are about 20 players who could make up any other position in the Top 20. It is so hard to call!

I'll do my own in the coming weeks but good luck predicting it!!

I tried making a phantom draft the other day and even though it's only a phantom draft... I struggled.

List your predictions for the first round of the draft.

You can give four players a "lock" if you believe they are a certainty to be selected with that pick

Only one lock aloud for selections #1-5, #6-10, #11-15 and #16-20

*You cannot choose a F/S selection as a lock

3 Points awarded for a correct lock

2 points awarded for a correct selection without the lock

1 point awarded if you are one position off

Highest score wins.

Good luck.
