They have

a likely top 10 mid so a great captain option who is only 24.
the best ruck in the comp who is only 23
a top 10 ruck who is only 23 and has alot of value on the trade market.

A top 3 pick in Mcgluggage to go with youth in Moore Weller Sympkin Powell Pepper, Tucker

I have complete faith that with Pick 2 and 16 in the draft to go along with Rookie 2 that Lahug can make this a very competitive team next year.

The strength of the list is there. You cant go on how many wins the team has done as if that was the case then Hungary needs to priority pick and they dont need it either. I dont think Belarus are struggling at all and have significant trade assets.

We have the 13th best mid on average and, considering age, I'll give you likely top 10.
We have the best ruck in the comp.
We have the 8th best ruck in the comp with Gawn and Mummy having down years, so top 10 is good again.

Aside from that, we have nothing but potential. Weller is the only player you listed that cracked the 70 average this year and you have "complete faith" I can make use competitive next year.

Basically, to summarise the Bison list:

  • Three good players
  • A lot of potential
  • That's it

The only way that we could quickly become good is to trade all of that young potential to teams wanting to rebuild and steal their stars. I don't think anyone wants to do this and, if they do, we then get a new mediocre team in the Bison, a few rebuilding teams, and a bigger gap to the top. Doesn't sound like a good comp to me...

Thanks Rids. However, if Nank keeps forward status, I think we're even better keeping him than trading him. Send in your offers though :P

I can guarantee you Nank will not keep fwd status. Apologies.

Hey as co-admin, re the ND thread, all I did was follow the rule book with that being the following:

2.5 Compensations picks are awarded when a team finishes a season with three or less wins. This means that they will receive a pick in the first round of the draft after the team's first pick or after the team all the other teams who received a compensation before you have taken their pick.

Holz

ill put it to a vote with other rule changes.

GoLions

Why is this even a discussion haha

I think the problem with this is that the 2016 Premiers then won the wooden spoon with only 3 wins for the year. Which means they 'qualify' for a priority pick which is not warranted imo.

I think there might be an amendment of the rule to maybe read 3 wins a year in 2 'consecutive' years or something so teams that do require a priority pick get the assistance they require.

issue is im looking at next year.

you could say a team that has back to back low years has had 2 top 3 picks, 2 early 2nd rounders and 2 early rookie picks and is on the way back up.

The team who went from flag to spoon, has 1 top 3 pick, 1 early rookie, pick and basically 2 early 2nd rounders.

thats why i think a case by case basis is needed.

see if Lahug offered to trade all his players for Hungary id consider it as it has alot more better youth then me. a bunch of 28+ year old players arent really helping my rebuild.

If nothing else, we have people posting in Euros. I love this haha

maybe i should keep making questionable calls.

I do love the passion though. I think Huggy will be competitive next year with or without pick 15. But ill put it to vote.

get discussion in the rule thread too as ill be putting a vote out soon.

Holz

ok Belarus will get their pick 15 priority, im listening to the voice of the people.

I personally thing Lahug can compete without it, but its just a little boost up so excited to see what the Bison do next year.

Spite

I will be away in China until Dec 2. Fortunately for EXV I only enter the draft at pick 22. Please do not skip me. Unless something goes wrong with my internet, I should be able to pick within 3 days of my turn. (Someone that has me on facebook please inbox me to let me know, will speed up the process, thank you). Thank you for your understanding!
