just wondering

you know how if you click on a thread from the main forum index it takes you to the last post you read in the thread

is it possible to go to the last post you read in a thread when it's not the latest post in the main forum index so i mean when you need to go into the child forum then click on the thread itself

make any sense?
If I'm understanding what you're describing correctly, and I might not be, doesn't this feature already exist? You just click on the "New" button next to the thread name, and it takes you to the first new post.

What's the difference? The first new post would be the post after the last one you read, which I believe is what the "new" button takes you to? I rarely use it though so not 100% sure on that

kilbluff1985

The difference is let's say there is a couple new pages since last time you read the thread it takes you to the last post you read
Which might be on like pages 2 of a 4 page thread

And it's obviously hard to remember where you last read on each thread so I use the feature often but only seems to if clicking on the thread from the forum index

I'm pretty sure what you are talking about is pressing the New button next to the name of a thread. It takes you to the post that was made immediately after the last one you saw.

For me it goes to the latest post not the latest post I read

Does the same for me as well, so maybe it's just us :(.

But yeah, for those that didn't understand, KB asking about a function to take him to the last post he read, not necessarily the last one that was posted. But if new function does that, that'd be handy (as I don't use it) :P.

It works fine for me after doing a bit of research

it is a great suggestion, but something I cant ever see you using considering the amount of time you spend online, the chance of two people responding before you go back must be nil!! :P
