Mate, Scooter's kicking efficiency was 69.7% which is decent for a major ball winner. In fact, thats better than guys like Dangerfield (61%), Wingard (60%), Kieran Jack, Josh Kennedy and Stevie Johnson (all 64%) plus our man Priddis and Mundy (both 65%).

Then he's on par with some of the most elite mids in the league - Heppell (67%), Martin (68%), Luke Parker (68%), GAJ (69%).

Yes, by foot he's not as good as someone like a Shuey, Rosa or Gaff BUT he is a much better defensive player and isn't as bad as you think efficiency wise considering a majority of his ball is won in contests.

We 'can' get a good player with pick 14, but its always a massive massive risk. We could also get an absolute dud. In a draft of KPP's, it'd be stupid to chase more picks weakening our weakest area (midfield) and strengthening our strongest (fwd/back).

Just my opinion, but Scooter for Varcoe + 14 would be a dumb dumb retarded stupid shower flowering bad move by the Eagles.

Agreed 100%!  Without the tagging duty's he is an elite mid and he proved that in 2013. Hutchings should have locked in the tagging role, but if Simpson has told Scooter he will still be tagging I would not blame him one bit for asking for a trade.  Pull your head in coaching staff and play him 100% on the ball!
