Profile

Where will the Brandon Ellis juggernaut end up? In 2014 he took another giant leap forward, adding 17 points to his previous average and at just 21 years of age he could potentially become a legitimate premo next season. After a slow start to the year Brandon averaged 101.6 post bye and a run of 7 tons in a row showed he had put some more consistency in his game. The major knock I have on him as a potential pick is his low tackle numbers, this means there is less insulation when he has a poor disposal game and he'll likely continue to have the odd sub 80 score here and there until that changes. Ellis had a couple of 140+ games in 2013 but his ceiling in 2014 was 127 which isn't as high as the Sidebottoms and Selwoods of the world. I wouldn't rule out giving him a shot but I think there's a few guys ahead of him.

Pros - Big ball winner, continues to improve

Cons - Low tackle numbers, sometimes used in negative roles

Prediction - 97-102

Nige

Yeah, he just runs around racking up the ball on the outside.

Hopefully he improves and I think he will, but you're right in saying that there are probably better picks.

Sweetness

His back half of the season was promising.
Will have crazy low ownership %.

One of those picks were there is probably more risk than reward unfortunately.

Ricochet

Always knocked him for his inconsistent scoring but actually showed some consistency in the back end of the year. Probably still to risky to start but could be a good draft league pickup

Master Q

High roof but lacks consistency. Could be an interesting unique next year.

Spinking

Got a good feeling about him for 2015. Has been inconsistent, but this is improving every year and is starting to handle a bit of defensive pressure.

Depends a bit on his role. Gets a lot of cheap marks and kicks when playing on the wing, but sometimes gets tagged when playing off half back.

Am seriously considering starting with him next year.

Toga

I will be seriously considering starting Brando in 2015! No coincidence that his hot streak in the middle of the year started when Deledio returned from injury, and I think he's still third or fourth in line for the tag next year.

Obviously will depend what the other mid premiums are looking like, but definitely going to be considering starting him ;)

stew42

Smokey alert! If he can add a bit of inside work to his game, I'll be really considering him

JBs-Hawks

Most rebounds from defensive 50. Any chance for DPP?

Toga

Interesting stat JB, he's very important for Richmond as that go-to guy out of defence... But he started and played out most games on the wing so I think we'd be very lucky if he was given DPP.

You never know though!

Probably one of the best form players in dreamteam. Just sucks to have when that form is bad.

My opinion, wait until he get his first consecutive 100's, then hop on before missing the boat
