Worth noting that Melbourne will have to delist another player if they are to use pick 40 in the draft.

Also getting excited about Kent. Has already slimmed down a bit so who knows how fast he will be next year  8)

Interesting... I wonder who will be delisted (surely we'd take Pick 40?)

I would probably delist Evans. I would have said Terlich, buuuutttt we re-signed him earlier this year  :-\ isn't Evans also out of contract?
Looking at the list atm and remembering who re-signed recently and stuff, Evans looks the likely option.

Big Mac

Evans has a year to run on his contract so makes it a bit hard.
Could just pay out the contract but I'm not sure about the logistics of that or if Melbourne has the money.

Other option would be to rookie list Trengove on full pay

Can't the Saints just pick him up at #1 in the rookie draft? If they can match his payment? haha

Big Mac

You think they would pick up a player who won't play in 2015?

Purple 77

Actually a good idea about Trengove...

Still, would prefer to pay out Evans and get rid of another "neither here nor there" player on our list.

we've already signed Membrey as a DFA. but I think we'll have to delist someone if we want to use our PSD pick

I actually reckon the Dees might end up taking Lever with #3 over McCartin, thoughts on that Demons fans?

Big Mac will be pretty happy I'd say ;)

Ricochet

Surely they have to take McCartin though? I mean he was nearly pick #1 material

Purple 77

I personally think we should just take the best talent available, instead of filling positional needs. I don't think Melbourne should be taking risks anymore.

Although he still has time, Melbourne picked Toumpas instead of Wines, with the view Toumpas can do the outside stuff much better than Wines. Yet so far, hindsight tells us Wines is just sooo much better and actually does outside stuff.

I don't want something like that to happen again, where we preference need over the best available.

McCartin or Lever would be win-win for Melbourne. The massive win for them is Brayshaw. Just hope the development team don't turn him into a flop like they have with so many players with potential.

It's a new development team thankfully. I have faith in this lot at least  8)

Yeah, this is the way I see it. Regardless of who they pick, they'll be fine.

I'd hope so, I really like Brayshaw. Guttered we can't have him, McCartin and Petracca :P I'd love to have all 3. haha.
