Good defender, but he couldn't do much else. He was important eary though so I didn't expect to see him go. Could want to go back to Norwood?

Purple 77

Oh he was handy back-up, but I don't think he was ever going to be an AFL regular.

Assuming Petracca goes to the Saints, I still reckon Brayshaw is a certainty to land at Melbourne. It's just about whether they'll take McCartin or Wright. I reckon it's likely to be the former.

I'd still have Lever ahead of both of them - All that the article says is that Melbourne will be looking at Brayshaw, and they'd be happy to take two talls, two mids or one of each.

Very interested to see where McCartin goes. He was a potential #1 pick and could slip to 4+ now

Trengove going in for surgery on Wednesday. Really hope he can get back out there  :(

Only getting screws out though hey? Doesn't sound too bad. Poor bloke can't take a trick can he

I like that Roos has the guys training early. There is a fine line between getting them in top condition and wearing them out before the season even begins. Neil Craig was notorious for killing his players during training. With a young group I think you want more time with them for game planning and that sort of thing as well.

Yeah I think that's whats happening here. I think I can remember roos saying he plans to add the offensive part of the game plan this pre-season, seeing as we seem to know how to be defensive.

Mat0369

I think I read that he was frustrated with his lack of access to players.

Sounds good to me  :)

Always love it when a player chooses our club! This sorta situation reminds me of getting Riley last year.

With another midfielder coming, that might strongly suggest McCartin is coming our way?

Mr.Craig

Still not sure whether he'll be AFL quality but would be nice for him to get the opportunity to find out.

Big Mac

Worth noting that Melbourne will have to delist another player if they are to use pick 40 in the draft.

Also getting excited about Kent. Has already slimmed down a bit so who knows how fast he will be next year  8)

Interesting... I wonder who will be delisted (surely we'd take Pick 40?)

I would probably delist Evans. I would have said Terlich, buuuutttt we re-signed him earlier this year  :-\ isn't Evans also out of contract?
