Live on Fox Footy, so far the following awards have been given out

Best First Year Player: Marcus Bontempelli
Most Courageous Player: Joel Selwood
Best Captain: Luke Hodge

Nominations for the MVP:

Dyson Heppell, Gary Ablett, Scott Pendlebury, Nathan Fyfe, Josh P Kennedy and Lance Franklin

And the winner of the Leigh Matthews MVP Award is:

Congrats to the winners, some surprising results but those that vote should know i guess. ???

Just wondering about this, with Jelwood not even getting nominated in the Top 6, do people think that this could be a reflection of what the players think about him? No doubt they rate him as a player, but perhaps his tactics and as a person they dont?

It certainly makes you pause and think about it, it seems a glaring omission on the surface so you begin to ask yourself why or how come. :-\
