Birmingham give Rookie pick 7
Hurricanes give Jonathon Giles

wasn't planning on anymore trades but with Giles at Essendon made him appealing since i have Belly i also think he is a chance to get R/F status so might be more forward depth

P77 to confirm

Purple 77

Confirmed.

Have Mummy, Stef and Lobb (pending), so Giles wasn't necessary. I like what's available in the rookie draft as well.

Leeches give: Mark LeCras
Badgers give: Nat 13 + Trent McKenzie

LeCras is the Leeches best forward, but McKenzie and pick 13 should help cover for aging defenders.

Confirmed. Even though mckenzie is one of my favourites, I need forwards.

Just a reminder that this first trade period will be ending in 5 weeks on 23rd November.

After a frenzy to start tradng seems to have died down.

A trade! A trade!

Hedgies give: Danyle Pearce
Swansea give: N19 + Mitch Golby

Nrich/Ringo to confirm

nrich102

Confirm.

We need more midfield depth and Pearce is that.

Pkbaldy

Cruisers Give: Harwood + NAT60

Badgers Give: Mackie + NAT48

Altough Harwood is a handy up and coming defender, I wouldn't mind pushing myself for the top 8 this year. So getting rid of a young defender for a proven yet older defender seems like a good trade to me, and the pick trade is just to even out the age difference, seeings as Mackie, 30 might not have THAT much left in him, despite looking about 14.

GoLions to confirm.

Confirmed. With Simpson, Mackie, NDS (i'm predicting def status) all getting older, I figured I'd need some youth in defence. As Pk said, pick swap to even out the age difference and the fact that Harwood is not guaranteed a spot in Brisbane's best 22 right now with our new recruits.

Vinny

Really good first up trade mate.

Owls give: N34
Giants give: J.Johannisen

Similar to Dave taking a punt on a guy being best 22 next season. Joha is young despite playing only 27 games in his career and 11 this season, we really like him. Owls suffered greatly due to a lack of depth in 2013 and we are working very hard to fix that. Hence the loss of picks as I don't have the knowledge to draft in the 30s and Rids/Nost can!

Rids to confirm.

Confirmed. Giants have a little depth in the backs (the only line really haha!) so we can afford to trade JJ. A draft pick in the mid 30's will allow us to try and snag a slider in the draft for a line that desperately needs the depth.

Another easy trade!

Giants give: nat 21
Cruisers give: nat 28 + Aiden Riley

Giants are taking a little risk here that Riley can cement a spot in Melbourne's best 22. Giants are trying to build some depth in the squad and think that the lose of 7 spots in the second round is worth taking the punt on Riley.

PK to confirm.

Confirmed,

I am not as confident in him making the best 22. And gaining 7 extra positions in the NAT draft will hopefully cement someone I am really interested in. And Riley is like 11th-12th mid for me...

I find it a bit  amusing that the first trade done would have been one the last owner would have raged about. Nails absolutely loved JJ

Also probably why Vinny jumped on him  ;)
