So I got my letter from foxtel today
Turns out we won`t be able to drop any packages like sports now unless we go onto the new packages
Now today is 11th September and the date they gave as cutoff to ditch current packages before being forced to move onto the new packages if we want to change anything is 5th Septmber ::)

Yeah but they have changed the packages around and dropped channels from basic
I want FX as it is on basic package now as I watch that channel a lot but they have packaged it with crap channels we have never watched and now want to charge $20 a month for it absolutely ridiculous
I`m guessing its a popular channel and that by doing this they can make more money by forcing people to pay for the channel now.

TPG have never hassled me about it so i'll stay put

Once the Footy season finishes, I drop down to Free to Air only. Only costs me $10 per month, and I can still pause/rewind and record. Then when the Footy season starts again, I upgrade to Packages

Don't see the point having it during the off season as I download all the shows I want anyway, so besides Sports everything else is just re-runs I've seen a million times

Well thing is after the 5th September you can`t downgrade channels unless you move to the new packages.
I always cut sport off in the footy off season as we don`t watch sports channels but now we can`t do it due to this new thing

So I had the basic package and sport. I heard that we would be getting some extra channels since they were moving. I had a look today to see what channels we just got. I basically now have the premium package minus movies and HD. Winning!

think you can check on the website or just call but think minimum is about $50 because they make you get essentials also
