My eyes suck and I don't have the channel, but is Setanta going to be gone? I know that will piss off a lot of people

Foxtel can take their changes and shove them
If you are an exisiting customer you are getting screwed over big time.It seems that we are being forced into a new contract to get the new pricing when we haven`t been in contract with them now for years.

Some of the package changes are stupid as well e.g adding Nick Jr,Disney Jr to starter package and then taking away Nick  away is complete bs as my kids are too old to watch those Jr channels and only watch Nick and Cartoon

Only good thing I can see is that all the music channels are now in the starter package

Call them up an tell them you will cancel, they will probably give you a better deal

Way ahead of you there ;)
But still won`t make much difference the way the packages are structured now

Have you got the link to what the new structures are? All I read is TVN is changing to essentials

You will also be surprised at what you can get if you play hardball.

Yep see we watch TWD as well and the changes happen around a month after the new series starts

I just found out that it only takes effect if you change your package and structure up under a new contract. If you stay with what you have the changes don't take effect. So FX, CN and Disney will stay under the current packages. So only if you sign up under the new deal will the changes happen

But the thing is we will be paying twice as much as new customers for the same thing which is complete bs

I am just doing the math in my head, they have 50% off at the moment, assuming essentials and sport is $100, for 90 you can get Essentials, Sport, Drama and Kids for $10 less a month.

I was thinking it probably also means that you probably won`t be able to change your package around either if you don`t go with the new changes.
Like we drop the sports channels after footy season but that will be alright as that isn`t changing but if I say wanted to drop another package we probably won`t be able now

It might be worth calling to find out, but I think by adding packages they will make you go on the 12 month fixed term contract. So say you drop sports, when you go to add Fox Footy later you will have to sign up to one of the fixed contracts.

it isn't though essentials will now be $25 and sport $25 when it changes
