Why would anyone want to go to a club caught up in a major doping scandal?
just what I heard, pretty sure it was in the Herald Sun. Maybe just picks then
Maybe we can just get him as a delisted free agent  :-X If a club gives players substances that could harm their unborn children, they dont really deserve any compensation for the player wanting to leave.
true, very true. But as a bomber supporter my judgement is somewhat clouded haha
Yeah, I know what you mean, haha. I think Ryder was saying that he wanted to get traded so the club got something, but idk

since GWS are interested how about giving us Shiel for him if he wants to come to Vic anyway

Ryder is better then anything the Tigers will give up for him

Ha, good luck with that. That won't happen.  :P

Should probably be a tad more subtle about racking up these posts too KB.  ;)

Essendon will play hardball with Ryder.

They are dreaming if the think they can achieve this given what has gone on and the fact that Ryder still risks suspension.

"Privately, the club has said it would only consider a trade deal if rivals are prepared to trade a top-five pick or player of the calibre of Port star Ollie Wines or Brisbane's Pearce Hanley.."

If I was Essendon I would cut my losses and accept best offer as the only ones winning will be the lawyers taking out yet another court case as to whether breach of contract has occurred.

Given he's looking for money the last thing Ryder will want is to go to court trying to get out on a clause and then miss a season of football/year of wages.
Aside from that he has said he wants Essendon to be compensated.

I doubt clubs that are hoping to scavenge him for a low price will be pleased with their results, as we've been historically terrible to deal with during trade week.

That being said Wines or Hanley is laughable, and just makes the statement look stupid.
Within our right to expect a top 10 pick I think.

For a dude that might get banned for 2 years?

Top 20 pick within your rights :P

silloc

I think GWS and GCS can more than afford to give up a first round pick.

I doubt if clubs thought they'd get banned for anymore than a few months, they would touch any essendon players

If Port were to , even consider putting Ollies name up as a sweetener, I'd support the Crows

People said this about Crameri also and it didn't really influence his value. A more likely punishment if one is received is the 6-month backdated one, although because Essendon has mismanaged relations with ASADA/AFL/flowering everyone the 2 yr bans are still a possibility I suppose, but using Crameri as a basis. It's a big opportunity for some club to seriously bolster their list, could be the difference between being a prelim team and a premiership team for Port.

Connors has also supposedly informed clubs that Ryder has no intention of executing the clause, glad that has been put to bed, was sick of reading articles about a 2nd round pick being ambitious because he could leave as a DFA.
