Going off this year

Kennedy > Watson
Heppell = Parker
Malceski > Hibberd (hes been good tho)
Hannebery >>>>>> Stanton
Goddard = McVeigh
Zaharakis = McGlynn
Bird > Myers
Jack > Howlett

I was being pretty sarcastic mind you :3

But on a better ratings scale;
JPK 10/10, Parker 9/10, Malceski 8/10, DanHan 8.5/10, McVeigh 8.5/10, McGlynn 8/10, Bird 8/10, Jack 10/10
Watson 10/10, Dys 10/10, Hibberd 9/10, Stants 8/10, BJ 9/10, Zacka 8.5/10, Myers 7/10, Howlett 7/10
Totals to 70 vs 68.5, Sydney just better imo but dons certainly have an elite midfield.

Yeah those Dons ratings are about right, although Eski is higher than Hibberd for this year

#18
Mundy < JPK
Fyfe > McVeigh
Hill < Hannebery (although Hill has had a very good year)
Barlow = Parker
Crowley > Jack (not in terms of ability, but what they bring to the team. Jack a very good player, but Crowley fully shuts down the best midfielders going around)
Sandi > Pyke
Neale < McGlynn
DPearce > Jetta (this year only)

Not sure how much midfield Malceski actually plays??

EDIT: Forgot Jetta

Back to the original question how is this

Fyfe = Kennedy (arguments can go on for days)
Barlow < Jack
Mundy < Parker
Hill > Jetta
Crowley >  McGlynn (call it tagger for tagger)
Neale <<< Hanners
Sutcliffe <<<< McVeigh
Suban << Mitchell
Sandi >> Pyke

Sub

Crozier > Lloyd (maybe)

For Showers and giggles

How about

Silvani <<<<<<<<<<<<<< Franklin
Dawson <<<<<< Tippett
Duffield >> Reid
Ibbotson << Goodes

Pavlich >> Richards
Mayne < Grundy
Ballantyne = Smith (as a negating role)
Taberner <<< Malceski

Rockliff, Hanley, Rich, Redden, Zorko, Green, Aish, Taylor, Adcock, Harwood, Crisp, Robertson, ZOB

Although depth wise Collwingwood doesn't bat as deep as it use to, I still believe in terms of your four best midfielders plus a tagger if you say so, we have the best going around.

Pendlebury, Sidebottom, Beams, Swan, Macaffer would be stronger than Fyfe, Barlow, Mundy, Crowley and Hill, or JPK, Jack, Hanners, Parker, Mcglynn

give me JPK, Jack, Hanners, Parker, Mcglynn anytime over the others

Mailman the 2nd

Sydney has by far the best midfield depth. More players who can regularly get 20+ disposals than any other club.

Pretty much all clubs have strong top end stuff, that's not what separates them

Shows how much of a joke that midfield is if Hibberd is included because they lack true depth. Too ashamed to admit that Melksham is a part of this "elite" midfield?

if you learned how to read maybe you'd see that I never included Hibberd in our initial midfield, MM did when he compared swans vs dons mids.

Mailman the 2nd

Yeah I mentioned him because malceski was in the OPs list. Neither are really mids though but they both have sweeping roles

Sydney best in the league by a long way. O0

Consensus says Sydney, I rest my case, Freo supporters, the evidence will be observed on Sat midday.  8)

Thanks for the input.

Hopefully it's a good game. The two are pretty evenly matched, so it'll be interesting to see who does win the midfield battle. ^-^
