Which midfield wins, inbiased comments please!

Fyfe, Barlow, Mundy, Hill, Crowley, Neale

vs

Kennedy, McVeigh, Hannebery, Jack, Parker, Malceski

Now the reason I ask is that I think Swans have a better midfield hands down, no argument, however every Dockers fan that I've asked the question too think the Dockers "easily" have a better midfield...they also think Freo have a better forward line.  ::)

Am I just being a stubborn West Coast fan, or are they legitimately crazy?  The only thing for me that even things up in the mids is Sandi.

Jukes

Heppell, Watson, Stanton, Zaharakis, Myers, Howlett, Hocking <3

But yeah, swans is probably the better, but Freo are very very very close.

oh snap yeah

Bombers > Swans > Freo :3

Still not better than Swans, noone brings their group down, Bombers have Myers, Howlett and Hocking who aren't in the same league.

Mailman the 2nd

Going off this year

Kennedy > Watson
Heppell = Parker
Malceski > Hibberd (hes been good tho)
Hannebery >>>>>> Stanton
Goddard = McVeigh
Zaharakis = McGlynn
Bird > Myers
Jack > Howlett

As for Freo vs Swans, the top end talent is pretty similar with Fyfe Kennedy etc. but I think Sydney have a couple of extra players like Mitchell and McGlynn that Freo don't.

First off, elite is a bit of a stretch.

Secondly, what does that have to do with Freo vs Sydney?

yeah Miles is pretty good

= 4th in clearances since round 12

oh wait you delisted him

Mailman the 2nd

Yeah Merrett has a long way to go yet.

Yes Sandi is certainly a very good point in the midfield for Freo, Pyke isn't really a slouch though and usually does ok vs the big rucks.

What tips it for me is when you look at Sydney's midfield in terms of their burst when they really get going. In 1st quarters throughout the season they scored a stupid amount of points, regularly getting 35+ point quarters each game. When firing they're crazy.

From their encounter earlier this year in Sydney, I'd say their just ahead. Sydney have a much stronger backline and a generally stronger forwardline this weekend though so it kind of tips it a bit

We figured richmond needed a help- good thing, can barely win a game without him.

I always thought he was being underutilised though... that being said, the delisting might have just given him a wake up call.

Freo has the more skilled players in their mid, but Sydneys midfield work better and more effective as a collective
