Hirdy coached a very young team to almost finals and then 7th last year - the same team Knights got sacked with - and has barely any coaching experience. I'd love bomber to stay on as an assistant, but I'm 100% confident that Hirdy is the man to lead us into the future with success.

roo boys!

Another thing I just remembered, leaving the ground I mentioned that I don't think I saw anyone besides Goldy compete in any ruck contests for North, he seemed to be everywhere...checking the stats this afternoon and this confirmed my belief, Petrie with 2 hit outs showing that he spent minimal time in the ruck, only the small portions of time that Goldy was off the ground, what a beast

So many people hyping about Ben Brown, Joey was just as good.

Yeh agree JD was good, i think what we all like mate is that a first year player dragged them back into the game. Probably overshadows JD's efforts because the Roo's were able to get up and win but yeh JD deserves some accolades also.

Disagree.
Brown doesn't drop chest marks.

Seriously though, once Daniher learns to throw his big frame around a bit more and crash some packs he'll be hard to stop. Just seems to try and mark the ball by throwing his arms at the ball now, rather than throwing his whole body. A good instance in I think the 3rd or 4th qtr Greenwood was going back with the flight running into Daniher's path towards the ball, Joey really should have come right through, cleaned him up and taken the mark as he was in pole position. Instead, he shirked the contest, not commiting fully, the ball hit the ground and North cleared. I love Greenwood but all good key forwards would have (legally) polaxed him in that situation.

Look at the stats guys, they were almost identical.  ;) Brown obviously got hyped more because North won. Personally I only saw Joey attempt a few chest marks and the only key one was a drop in the final quarter but the match was fairly in Norths control by then. Not saying Brown getting all the hype is a bad thing, gives Joey a little breathing space.

Greenwood is a flowering legend haha.

Its not all about stats though mate! (cough, Stanton).

Brown's third quarter was game changing, inspired North to victory hence why he's rightly getting a huge pump. Plus like Grazza said he's a first year fella who just does good things :P

Master Q

Brown set up a Petrie goal off his own chest and foot.

Brown took crucial chest marks in a crowded 50 while Daniher just out ran his 1 on 1 in an empty forward 100  :P

I disagree too.

Joey was okay, dropped a few marks he should've clunked. Everytime Norf went forward, Benny Brown looked very dangerous.

Brown is far better than Daniher every day of the week.

Jukes

So he has one good game and one alright game against melbourne and a team who lost to melbourne and he's the next big thing in the afl?

Come back when he does good next week.
