This has happened in like every comp his teams have been taken over lol

nostradamus

yep we traded out JJ with our 1st trade in BXV lol

Rusty00

Head Hunters give: Brandon Jack + ND 57
Dolphins give: ND 31 + Scot McMahon

1st Trade Period: ND 57 FOR ND 31
2nd Trade Period: Brandon Jack FOR Scott McMahon

Basically wanted another pick in the 2nd round. Jack has a lot of promise but is on the fringes of the Swans best 22 hence the reason ND 57 was added. Spud McMahon is superfluous to the trade, just needed to make it 1 for 1 players in the trade.

Memph to confirm

Confirm.

Draft picks are great but draftees take time to develop. Brandon Jack has had a couple of years in the AFL system already and is ahead of schedule.

He's also ahead of where his brother was at this stage in his career and if he turns out anything like him then he'll be a gem pick-up.

I was going to delist McMahon anyway so I'm happy to give him up. Rusty suggested a player without an AFL club but I didn't think that would fly so I gave him McMahon instead.

I'll put all my trades together in a post here. They will remain up for 3 days, before being confirmed. If 2 or more coaches speak against trades in that time, it will go to a vote from all coaches. And I already know the big one with JROO will be going to a vote.

ok might as well post an actual trade in the trade thread...

KL Crocs give: Gibbs + R47
Folders give: Malceski + Dal Santo

BB to confirm.

Losing Gibbs and bringing in two old guys was tough given he is about to hit his prime but reason is our backline is our weakest line and Malceski strengthens that. NDS adds some mid depth

Trade will have to be split over two periods.

Period 1
Crocs give: R47
Folders give: NDS

Period 2
Crocs give: BGibbs
Folders give: Malceski

We finally got this done.

The full trade is:

UAE Tigers give: Sam Gibson, Jono O'Rourke, Christian Salem, Jake Neade, Pick 44
UAE Tigers receive: Brendon Goddard, Ryan Bastinac, Will Minson, David Mackay

Manila Folders give: Brendon Goddard, Ryan Bastinac, Will Minson, Jeremy Laidler
Manila Folders receive: Sam Gibson, Jono O'Rourke, Christian Salem, Jake Neade, Pick 44

PNG HeadHunters give: David Mackay
PNG HeadHunters receive: Jeremy Laidler

It's going to work like this:

Trade period 1

UAE Tigers give: Jono O'Rourke, Pick 44
UAE Tigers receive: Brendon Goddard

Manila Folders give: Brendon Goddard
Manila Folders receive: Jono O'Rourke, Pick 44

Trade period 2

UAE Tigers give: Sam Gibson, Christian Salem, Jake Neade
UAE Tigers receive: Ryan Bastinac, Will Minson, David Mackay

Manila Folders give: Ryan Bastinac, Will Minson, Jermey Laidler
Manila Folders receive: Sam Gibson, Christian Salem, Jake Neade

PNG HeadHunters give: David Mackay
PNG HeadHunters receive: Jeremy Laidler

Reasoning: BJ increases my scoring potential, while Basti provides good mid depth. Big Wilbur provides depth to Stefan Martin, in case he can't replicate this year's form. But I have to give up some of my high quality youth in JOR and Salem. Gibson is a proven scorer and Neade has also shown promise. Also should be noted that Mackay is traded for Laidler as part of a deal that was already agreed on, as part of the Swallow + Pearce for Seedsman + Hunter deal.

Also, I only use one list movement from this (Salem).

Rusty and BB to confirm.
My (minor) part confirmed.
With no one expressing any concerns over the first 2 trades, they will pass through and are APPROVED.

The third one will be sent as a vote to coaches shortly, and then I'll get around to trade approval. :)

KL Crocs give: N47 + R63
Laos Elephants give: Burgoyne

Reason: Bit harder to judge Burgoyne's value with only a year left and we're not 100% on his dpp status next year. But hopefully he can add some further depth for us in 2015. Feel that a 3rd round Nat and 4th round Rook is about right

Nige to confirm

APPROVED

Reasoning: Ric explained it quite well, with Burgoyne already being traded for Weller, and these picks being similar to the value of Burgoyne at this stage of his career, where he probably only has the one year left.

Quote from: Nige on November 12, 2014, 03:53:17 PM
Elephants give: Jordan Lewis
Ales gives: N12 + Alex Woodward

Reason: Even though Lewis was our VC option, we've got plenty of guys to take over that role and with our mid stocks we could afford to trade him out for some quality youth. I'm a huge Woodward fan and the Hawks too rate him highly, he dominated in the VFL taking home the Liston at just 21 (their Brownlow) and should definitely be getting more games in the next year plus is a good option for the future. With N12, we get a second first round pick and should almost certainly pick up a kid that will be really good and add to our well balanced team.

JB to confirm.

BLOCKED

Reasoning: Lewis was the 6th ranked player last season with the 8th highest average in the competition, averaging 141. He still has 3 years of football left in him at least (possibly more in my opinion), and that has to make him worth more than Pick 12 and a young player who has potential, but has only played 2 games in 3 seasons.

Head Hunters give: Lindsay Thomas + Colin Garland
Eskimos give: Ben Lennon

PB to confirm.

Lennon is a good future prospect for our rebuild, hopefully he can start to earn a regular spot in the Tigers 22 soon. Thomas is solid depth but doesn't suit our squad going forward, whilst Garland, with an injury-free preseason, should put up some solid numbers for defensive depth for the Eskimos.
Confirmed. Need more playing forward and defenders, Garland and Thomas are both best 22.

APPROVED

Reasoning: Lennon has showed enough in his first year of football that he will be a good player, even if he hasn't been a huge scorer yet. Thomas and Garland are both older players who are good depth, but not premium and will give a few good year's service to their new club.

      Trade Period 1

  Strikers give: Schoenmakers+ Nat#62+ Rook#30
  Dongs give:  Nat#77+ Rook#13

      Trade Period 2

  Strikers give: Hartung
  Dongs give:  Johannisen

  nrich to confirm

APPROVED

Reasoning: A fairly even trade with the picks and players swap. Johannisen is the best player there out of the three, with Hartung also being quite valuable, and Schoenmakers not worth as much.

Reasoning: McMahon isn't worth heaps, but is still decent depth. Jack is a young kid with potential, but isn't prolific yet. The pcik swap balances it out.

Wow Togs, very very well done man.

Memphistopheles

Wow Toga gets 5 real guns to add to his team. Fair compensation but still one team picking up that any good players at once - o.0.

Also I've just noticed this but Nails seemed to have all the same players in every comp lol.

PowerBug

I understand a rebuild but don't you want to win aswell? Can't it be considered tanking if you trade away all your good scorers, not to mention all in the one trade. Not a fan of this trade.

Confirm!

Understand it looks a bit scary all of those players coming through at once but let's not forget that nrich is gonna have to try rebuild as the Dongs are at that in-between point where they can't contend, but can't bottom out. Nrich giving away some good oldies but think we've done an alright job of trying to compensate that with some quality picks and younger players :)
