I don't care I didn't get Lewis, I didn't even know he was on the table, lol.

I genuinely feel that he's worth much more than that, got nothing do with me missing out on him.

To me the below quote implied you did care.

I would've given wayyyy more, but was too late.

I posted about his availability on Monday, but said as soon as I took over that everyone was available for the right price.

As far as his worth is concerned, I presuming your opinion is based on simply this past season and nothing more, because imo, if it's based on anything more, than I don't think you'd be valuing him so highly.
Based mainly on this year, yes. But he has shown he's been a good consistent scorer in the past, I think he went at 125 or so last year. I think he'll maintain for the next few years, as well.

Lez was asking for Birchall, Robbo and Higgins for Lewis, when he was coach. Now he's not worth that much, but just think you could have got more.
That's what Lez thought and how he valued him, clearly there's subjectivity present there and differing opinions on his value.

Maybe I could have, maybe not.

I'm happy with the deal and I'm confident that it will pay off.

Both Coaches were happy with the Mundy trade as well, that got rejected.   Not sure how the Lewis one is any different...

Vinny

Despite agreeing with the hard to get stuff for old players part, I think Lewis is worth more than that too.

Same with the Hibberd and Ellis trades, too.

Rids

Jordan Lewis turns 29 in April. 2 decent young players for Lewis might actually become a very big win for Nige.

Will be an interesting decision. 3 to 4 years of good scoring v 20 years (2 players x 10 years a career) of potential.

KL Crocs give: N47 + R63
Laos Elephants give: Burgoyne

Reason: Bit harder to judge Burgoyne's value with only a year left and we're not 100% on his dpp status next year. But hopefully he can add some further depth for us in 2015. Feel that a 3rd round Nat and 4th round Rook is about right

Nige to confirm
I am disallowing this! Cannot have this team gaining such a player

Head Hunters give: Lindsay Thomas + Colin Garland
Eskimos give: Ben Lennon

PB to confirm.

Lennon is a good future prospect for our rebuild, hopefully he can start to earn a regular spot in the Tigers 22 soon. Thomas is solid depth but doesn't suit our squad going forward, whilst Garland, with an injury-free preseason, should put up some solid numbers for defensive depth for the Eskimos.

Confirmed. Need more playing forward and defenders, Garland and Thomas are both best 22.

Why not, in terms of Burgoynes value it's about right

because....

Mav Weller is an 83SB ave midfielder who was on a rookie list and a tagger. He has only ever cracked a DT tonne once in his whole career.

He wouldn't be worth a 2nd round Nat, at best an early 3rd rounder.

Burgoyne was originally traded for Weller, and approved.

Deal is a 3rd rounder and a 4th round rookie as well.

Burgoyne has one year left and dpp status is very 50/50.

It's a reasonable trade.

Noz

If you were after draft picks for Burgoyne I could of offered Rookie pick 22

To repeat here what I have just posted in the trade discussion thread:

With our new coaches coming into the competition however, I think it is right to extend the trade period by a week so that they can get a chance to make the changes they would like with their teams.

So just to repeat:

The Trade Period will end Saturday the 22nd of November.

Final Delistings are due by Sunday the 23rd of November.

And hopefully I can get around to looking at trades tonight, but it may have to wait until tomorrow. And then things should calm down for me a bit, and I will be able to be around a bit more.
