Trade Period Two:

Bears give: James Gwilt
Llamas give: Jimmy Toumpas

Reason: Really need to inject some youth so don't mind taking the punt on Toumpas who hasn't looked great at AFL level yet. Solid defenders are hard to come by and Gwilt averaged 95 this year but I don't need him anymore.

tbag to confirm.

If this trade gets approved then I want you to go back and approve my Ellis one.

Trading a young future gun for a bloke who currently is not even on an AFL list is a joke

Was only a matter of time before you showed up lol.

For the record I actually thought your Ellis/SJ trade was fair.

I don't see the problem here, if it was a guy like Mitch Robinson or Mitch Clark instead of Gwilt then I doubt anyone would have a problem with it. Neither of those guys have a club either.

Robinson is still with Carlton
Clark is still with Melbourne and will be at Geelong first thing Monday
Gwilt has no club

Reports GWS were going to pick him up but now they have Patful. Gwilt will not play next year

Levis43

Carlton have basically said that they will delist Robinson if they can't work out a deal with anyone. You don't know for sure that Geelong will end up working out a trade for Clark.

But it doesn't matter anyway, those guys are currently in the same position as Gwilt so you can't use really use the argument "he doesn't have a club" for negging the trade.

Assuming he gets picked up (as you are with the others) then it is a fair trade.

Geelong, Melbourne and Collingwood have all said the deal will be finalised first thing monday its a good as gold.

Robinson isn't be traded for a future young gun now is he? Don't even know why he was brought into this conversation anyway.

Well tbag hasn't confirmed this trade yet, but either way it will be blocked.

The fact that Gwilt is currently de-listed and does not have a club is a huge factor. Right now, he is not playing AFL footy next year, so the trade cannot go through.

Gwilt could be going to the Bombers. Not sure even if he changes clubs, the deal passes?

@AFL: Former @stkildafc defender James Gwilt has joined @EssendonFC. #FreeAgency

APPROVED

Reasoning: With Gwilt now picked up by the Bombers, this trade can go through. Toumpas is a highly rated youngster, yet only played 4 games this year, and was not a prolific scorer in them. Gwilt is just about a premium defender, which are hard to come by, and he is still only 28.

lol the hell with this. Literally no point trading anymore
