Finally decided on the trade to move on Dane Swan, and he will be finding a new home in the UAE!

Manila give: Dane Swan
UAE give: Ricky Henderson + Rohan Bail

1st Trade Period
UAE give: Ricky Henderson

2nd Trade Period
Manila give: Dane Swan
UAE give: Rohan Bail

I feel this is a good trade for us, getting in Henderson, who has had his injury troubles, but also has the ability to be a premium defender, and Bail, who has finally secured a place in Melbourne's 22, and is developing into a solid scoring midfielder, who will probably find his way into our team at some stage during next year.

We went with this deal over the others we had on the table as we feel it gives us some depth across the board with a midfielder and defender, who are both fairly safe options, in my opinion. Also, this deal meant we were only giving up Swan, and not anything else on the side, which we didn't want to give up at this stage.

JROO to confirm.

Confirmed, needed to get a gun mid in and even though Swanny is old he fills that need.
Hendo was a gun last year, so if he's fit he'll turn out well while Bail will get DPP, but both are just depth.

Well I'm not giving up my whole team to get Swan, like I was with Redden.

Your offer, not mine ;)

Roughy yesterday showed his worth so I'm happy with the decision :D

Are you saying that I am not receiving enough for Swan, or I am receiving too much?

Well from the offers I had, this was the best of the lot in my opinion. People don't seen to rate Swan too highly because of his age.

........or a dud, there-in lies the risk versus reward of parting with an absolute gun like Prestia.

We know how good Prestia is/will be, but we are gambling on Miles (one good season does not make a gun) and our ability to make a decent pick from the draft.

It's a good trade for both teams. Simple as that  8)

l think you made a good trade BB. It's a win/win as it suits both teams needs

Nails

Bears give: M. Thomas + M. Rischitelli + M. Jamar + N48
Dongs give: J. Grimes + N29

One thing we lacked this year was mid depth, one thing we had excess of was defender depth.

Obviously Jack Grimes previously has been a def premo and could be again next year. He's still fairly young so worth a bit.

However this trade gives us the depth we need. However as I type this out I realise I might not have enough movements to add the quality I need and am beginning to doubt myself...

Anyway, I guess we'll do the trade...

Adam Ant to confirm.
