Redden averaged 140 this year
Roughead in one of his best seasons goal wise averaged 128

Redden is also 4 years younger.

The sweetener definitely needed to be on my side. Thing is Redden averages something like 7 tackles a game which is huge in this comp at 6 points apiece.

Justin Bieber

Yeah for sure. Before this year Redden played over 100 consecutive games after debut. Roughy finally hitting form, but getting older. Mind due, Redden averaged the 11th highest in the comp.

Surely ele should be the one giving the sweetener o.0

Yo what, I ain't giving no sweetener. Not even with the elephants

Justin Bieber

Not sure how I'm being a spud as 'usual'

I wanted a top forward, not a few depth players...

Rusty00

Elephants give: Mav Weller
Head Hunters give: Shaun Burgoyne

Looking to freshen up our squad a bit so wanted to trade Burgoyne now before we can get nothing for him. Liked the look of Weller the second half of this season as a promising player of the future.

Whatlez to confirm

Ok well this could be a controversial one but we have decided to accept the Bears offer for Cyril Rioli over some other good offers.

Thanks to everyone who submitted an offer for Rioli and sorry to those whose offer I didn't accept. You might have a few issues with me accepting this one but I have my reasons which are outlined below.

Bears give: Dean Kent + Mason Wood + Nat 16.
Dolphins give: Cyril Rioli.

Adamant to confirm.

Justification as follows.

A lot of people don't rate Dean Kent but in my opinion as a goalkicking midfielder (who I think is very likely to get mid/fwd next season) he is very suited to this scoring system. Case in point is his Sportsbet average is 73.15 compared with his DT average of 52.6.

The main selling point for me on Kent is that he appears to have cemented a spot in the Demons best 22 now having played every game from Rounds 13-23. He adds that element of pacey, outside run to the Demons side which they don't have a lot of (looks like he has replaced Blease in the side). From what I've seen of him this season I liken him to Isaac Smith who broke out this year and averaged 125. I'm not saying Kent will reach those heights next season but in another 2-3 I can see him getting there.

Mason Wood, although yet to get a game has been carving up the VFL for North Melbourne's reserves, booting 29 goals from 18 games including three bags of 4 and three bags of 3. Also in his only game for North this year he booted three goals and scored 97 points. I'm confident that when Petrie retires, or if Black continues to struggle, Wood will take over and cement a spot in the Roos side as second/third (maybe even first) tall forward.

The addition of Nat 16 also means the Dolphins now have 4 picks in the Top 20 which will help us build our team for the future and continue to improve our depth which is the main weakness I identified when Ablett was traded/ the end of last season.

Also in this deal I am not giving up any other players whereas in the other deals I was also offloading another starting XV player like Rosa/Sutcliffe/Varcoe so our team improves its depth.

Confirmed.

Crocs give: Jamie Cripps + Nick Graham
Dolphins give: Matt Rosa + Joel Patfull

Memph to confirm.

Losing our F5 in Cripps hurts a little but we actually have a bit of fwd depth now and needed a decent backup midfielder so we don't get burnt by an Ablett-like injury again. Graham is another young gun and should get more opportunites at Carlton. And Patfull is just defensive depth to even up the trade.

Due to list movements it will be spread over two periods.

Trade Period 1
Crocs give: Jamie Cripps
Dolphins give: Matt Rosa

Trade Period 2
Crocs give: Nick Graham
Dolphins give: Joel Patfull

Elephants give: Jack Redden
Dongs give: Jarryd Roughead + first rounder (pick 12 or 13)

Nails to hopefully confirm.

Confirmed

With disappearance of L. Anthony and retirement of L. Hayes along with a whole lot of other skull duggery we need the extra mid assistance. Jack Redden also adds another genuine captain option to the lineup even if he is costly.

ALL APPROVED

Noz

Always good trading a premium player for a bloke who hasn't played a game a 2nd round pick and another bloke who has done nothing in AFL

From what I can see, I think you were quite interested in a few "depth players".

Lol not that I'm concerned, Robbo and Higgins will be at new AFL clubs soon. ;)
