Were you meant to post this in the Melbourne discussion?  ???

I think he's a little way off AA.  ;)

Mailman the 2nd

He's done pretty well, but he's in a position which doesn't get mentioned at all usually bar Nick Smith and played in a team that did poorly

FB: E. Mackenzie/A. Rance, C. Hooker, N. Smith
HB: B. Smith, D. Talia, N. Malceski
C: N. Fyfe, J. Kennedy, D. Heppell
HF: B. Harvey, L. Franklin, R. Gray
FF: L. Breust, J. Roughead, H. Ballantyne/ E. Betts
Fol: S. Jacobs, G. Ablett, J. Selwood
I/C: J. Lewis, L. Parker, S. Pendlebury, M. Priddis

I think all these players are locked in. Between betts and ballantyne who gets that small forward role and Mackenzie and rance for the third tall. I personally think ballantyne and rance will take those spots

Just gauging how he is rated on here. He has played incredibly well this year (look at the shut down roles he played on Betts, Green, Chapman etc) and I was trying to use FF'ers opinions as a way to judge whether he would've even been mentioned during AA talks.

Edit: It probably sounds like i'm upset he didn't get selected or something but I legitimately just wanted to know where he sits in other people's opinion.

He's done some good jobs on opposition smalls but I think the AA looks for a few years of consistency. Talia for instance has been really good for 2012-2013 and it's only really happened this year that he's been labelled as an elite CHB in the competition.

Importantly, the International Rules team will be picked from these 40 players!

The biggest surprise for me is no McVeigh or Sloane.
Ellis is a nice surprise, he's had a great season.

From that squad my team would probably be:

FB: N.Smith, Rance, Mackenzie

HB: Malceski, Hooker, B.Smith

C:   Fyfe, Kennedy, Rockliff

HF: Gray, Franklin, Parker

FF: Breust, Roughead, Gunston

R:  Jacobs, Selwood (C), Pendlebury

Cbf picking an interchange

D Beams,
D Heppell
C Ward
J Lewis
B Harvey
T Boak
D Martin,
M Priddis

No Talia?

He's definitely a chance. I think there will be 3 out of Rance, Talia, Mackenzie, Hooker but one of them is going to be very unlucky.

I thought it was picked from all players who have ever been All Australian?
