Hopefully we see Chappy do this again on Sunday

Look at me... Weeeee.... I'm. A plane flying back to Punt Road... Weeeee
Flowering Hate Chappy. I like Richmond, hate Chappy & Rance. Cotchin sometimes makes me angry when he loses his composure. Overall, I'd say I like Richmond, when they are not losing. If they are behind on the score board some (not all) of their players resolve it with their fists. Also, Ellis & Miles are fantastic youths, really impressed me today. Cotchin, Lids, & Martin were completely shut down, however, those two really stood up for the team in the midfield. Should be bright prospects in the future
How about just taking in the win and thinking about next week you might be in the same situation next week ... well done to Port  ::)

kilbluff1985

Deledio and Martin were completely shut down? what game were you watching?

Deledio had 29 touches and kicked a goal
Martin Had 29 touches

hardly say they were shutdown

Cotch was though

Despite his stats i don't think martin had an impact at all really, couldn't really say he was shut down though. I thought lids was your best.

Toga

Deledio was good, Cotch & Martin didn't do a lot though

It's understandable that you hate Chappy, but Rance?  :o
Can't stand Robbie Gray throwing his head back to get free kicks and acting like a flog, but don't hate him, love him as a player.
I thought Lids was good, Dusty found a bit of the ball but made a few mistakes, which is understandable due to pressure Port put on us.

Watched the replay last night and noted two heroic acts by Mr Rance.
Tried to break Gray's neck in the goal square from behind.
Where was he when the heat was on?
Playing cards with Chappy

Hahah, I can't remember the incident fully, but he was clearly frustrated. Gray is a flog anyway.
Rance wasn't too bad, he beat his direct opponent.

Most Tiges supporters might know this, but Hardwick finally admitted that Stevie Morris played out most of the season with a shoulder that needed reconstruction.

Clearly hampered him.

Not surprised, easily one of the toughest, and most competitive, players in the AFL. He really is a work horse.

Rance is a really good fullback (one of the best in the AFL this season), but he shouldn't have been starting trouble when the game was already won (it was obviously frustration, however as a Port supporter I couldn't help but think he was trying to either injure one of our players or attempt to instigate a retaliation that would get someone suspended).

As for Gray, I think the only Tiger comparable to him this season is Dusty (Ellis close by). If we take entire careers into perspective Lids, Cotchin & a few other get the nod over him though. Not that Cotchin & Lids had bad seasons (quite the contrary), they played well, just Gray has been a freak this year and not many players could be ranked ahead of him based off this one year. Lids really deserves the bow of respect though, he has been an influential player for so long, from the early years where had nothing to work with, to the team of prospective stars and dual Coleman wins, to the strong team they've been for the past two seasons. Really could end up being a legend of the game by the time he retires.

Yeah agreed about Gray he would easily be in the top five players in the comp, this year.

Just my observations from being at the game.
The stadium is amazing and definitely the gem of an otherwise average city. I don't think they have worked out how to build anything over 3 stories high in Adelaide yet  :P
Atmosphere around the city and at the game was great and it was awesome to see so much yellow and black at the game and around town.
The shame about the day (apart from the result) was some pretty poor behaviour from a section of the crowd at the game. I was sitting just in front of the Hill and every time Houli went near the all a bunch of morons in port jumpers standing on the hill kept yelling out racial slurs and calling him a terrorist. This resulted in a few fights to break out over the course of the day. Security then kicked the Richmond supporters out and left the Scumbags to continue their taunts  ::)
I'd always heard that Port supporters were bad but wow.. They make collingwood supporters look like Mother Teresa.

Aside from that it was a good weekend away. Enjoyed the pubs and the ground is a beauty. Will definitely make it a regular trip each time we play there

GM

I thought you had gone missing like Noz Quinney haha.
Thanks for report on how good Port were and how bad Richmond was.
Bad crowd behavior is unacceptable and should not be tolerated.
But EVERY club has an element .
The majority of Port Supporters are just like you.
Great Humans haha.

I posted straight after the game?
I'm no fair weather supporter ;)

Absolutely they do but the reputation Port have was just confirmed for me.
More ferals amongst them than most clubs. Not the great ones of FanFooty though of course  ;)
All outstanding citizens I'm sure!

Totally Disagree.
Why even go there labelling  clubs supporter base like that.

Also disagree.
You just copped a towelling and the passionate Power fans wanted to let the Richmond fans know about it.
I'm sure the Tigers have their fair share of feral mongs amongst the outstanding ones.
As for what people say on 'The Hill'. Well you can thank the Stadium Management Authority for making Alcohol one of their biggest profit makers.
Ports memberships rose dramatically this year due to their city relocation. Therefor most of their newest members are from the wealthy city fringe suburbs.
On the news they had footage of Richmond supports leaving at half time, throwing their scarfs down and then grounding them into the cement with their foot! ::)
