Pick 2 ey? I reallllly don't feel bad about forking over 2 first rounders for Lever now. You could ask for nearly ANYONE in the AFL with Pick 2... would it really be that unreasonable to offer Pick 2 for Dangerfield or Martin, for example?

Wtf are you doing GC? Surely you back your recruiting to draft a better player with Pick 2? Just get Weller next year after he sooks it out in the WAFL; diminishing his value.

Happy with Brisbane trading overall.

Really had no say with Rockliff and compensation given.
Cameron in for pick 12. With the go home factor who is to say we do not lose another player to go home factor.
Hodge a solid gain.

Schache is a loss but with teams now going less tall Cameron an ideal replacement and gives us some more speed.  Schache as a No 2 draft pick been disappointing both mentally and on field so as such could not expect much more in the trade.

Overall rate us as B for trade period as we still have 3 picks in the Top 20 thanks to exchange of picks with Richmond.

All this GC bashing is a bit weird.

Look at it this way.

They just got a player who wanted to come home. To Gold Coast. When does that ever bloody happen?

This is a weaker draft, Weller's easily as good, if not better than whoever will be taken at Pick 2. And for all we know, that Pick 2 could be a Victorian kid who wants out in a couple of years.

They also got West Coast's first pick next year. Most people are expecting the Eagles to drop so they've probably just got themselves a top 10 pick in a stronger draft (some already calling it the 'super draft'). They're still gonna finish bottom 10 and have another first round pick next year. They already received two second round picks for next year, again... in a stronger draft.

It's really not that bad.

I had Adelaide the clear winner of trade period, but Pick2 for Freo, dont know how they got that deal done.

Gold Coast flowered themselves there!

I would have traded pick 2 to North for Pick 4 and then given that to Freo on principle!!
