i'm seeing posts on facebook north have offered david swallow 3.75mil for 5 years but dunno how legit it is
Wouldn't be surprised that they are targeting him. Surely they are paying a bit overs for someone who isn't an A grade mid?
they've got a ton of cash

D.Swallow is contracted till the end of 2019. Highly unlikely

I might be in the minority, but I just think Schache will be a flop

It's not exactly uncommon that Top Picks flop, and I reckon he is a near lock to never turn into something

think you should give him a year or 2 at a decent club he wants to be at before making a call like that

That's the whole idea about making a call like that. I don't need to wait, I've seen enough and have decided to make that call now ;)
My 2 cents worth - I seen enough of Schache early to see the talent. He kicked 5 straight in his first intra club game and took 2 great contested marks on Sauce Merrett. Then rightly or wrongly all the expectations and contract talk weighed heavily on his mind which he was unable to handle.
If I was a Victorian club I would take the risk as he will also be back with family to help him so his mental state will improve,

What would North give up to get him?

Would have to be a trade. GC will not want him to go. Would need to be players + picks to get it done. He probably is their best midfielder. I can't see it happening.

If they lose Swallow and Ablett after having lost Prestia, Bennell, Caddy and O'Meara... that's literally an entire midfield lol, and when fit a pretty competitive one.

Yeah you're the minority. Kid is a gun.

Jay Clark saying that Essendon might send Colyer to West Coast which would get them a 2nd or 3rd rounder to use to then secure all of Stringer, Smith and Saad

Why do players even sign contracts anymore!

meow meow

If Swallow stays at GC he'll be on about 2mil a year soon since he'll be their only good player.

Jukes

I'd happily take pick 30 or 48 for Colyer

Spoiler alert for West Coast supporters: he stinks. Incredible ability to fumble the footy and makes Taylor Adams look like an elite kick. But he's only 26 so plenty of time to improve.

Ironically, one of the few good games he played in 2017 was where he killed Gaff on the outside.

Ha ha they just said on sports news the Crows have offered Motlop $600K + a year that is way overs for a guy that does not give an effort every game

I hope we don't give one of those picks for him

Colyer, Ah Chee, these blokes are worth little and we need a better player than them, just younger versions of what we already have and won't have any real influence on our side

Feel like we have more than enough fringe and young players and need another leader or two, but we're heading to the draft apparently so that's the opposite lol

Won't pay more than what 400K for Lever but will offer Motlop 600k? Makes sense lol

Our offer to Lever towards the end of the season was a lot more than 400k, people believe the media too much.

Well unless you're actually mates with a player or someone involved the media is all we have to rely on...
