He's another wasted pick by GWS. Picked him out of the Bendigo league instead of the usual under 18 pathway.

Yeah, because GWS are doing so awful! Haha

they have wasted alot of picks though.

they have had everything stacked their way, with soo many picks and now academy steals.

they have made some shocking picks though

2   Jonathan O'Rourke
3   Lachlan Plowman
12   Kristian Jaksch
14   Aidan Corr
27   James Stewart
14   Cameron McCarthy
4   Jarrod Pickett
6   Caleb Marchbank
7   Paul Ahern
23   Patrick McKenna

thats just in their first 3 years.

if you look at their best players.

Ward - Free agent
Shaw - Traded in
Mumford - Traded in
Phil Davis - Free Agent
Cameron - underage recruit
Shiel - underage recruit
Scully - Free agent
Griffen - Traded in
SJ - Free agent
Zac Williams - Rookie
Hopper - Academy Player
Kennedy - Academy Player
Perryman - Academy Player
Setterfield - Academy Player

Greene - good draft pick
Congis - good draft pick
Whitfield - decent draft pick
Devon Smith - good draft pick

so basically given how many national picks they have had they are shocking at drafting.

they dominated in the underage recruits and have traded and picked up free agents very very well.
They have just been given too many draft picks that it doesnt matter, half of those who are in the "shocking picks" list will have perfectly fine careers. Just GWS have picks/young players coming out there ears so they trade them away for chips.

Good on the Suns I say

elephants

Far out, imagine if GWS drafted well then :s

meow meow

It definitely matters when other teams are outdrafting them. We'll smash them and be the team that wins 5 out of 10 flags, not GC or GWS.

Taylor Adams, Adam Treloar, Dylan Shiel...

Scrads

You also forgot good picks from GWS like Taylor Adams and Dom Tyson who now play for other teams.

These were good picks......

That is really just a side effect of having so many picks...nothing to do with drafting....

If they didnt have so many picks/young guns they wouldnt of traded these players/players looking for more oppotunity.

meow meow

Assuming Collingwood finish mid table GWS just traded JOM > #4 > WHE > #30 next year. They're even screwing up the extra handouts that the AFL gave them that GC didn't receive.
