3 for Mitchell and 18
18 for Lobb
21 for McCarthy

Screw the Draft

Lobb worth more than 18 surely

RaisyDaisy

Farren Ray has retired and Nahas has been delisted

No surprise considering the 4 they dropped earlier

Jukes

Just looking up some Farren Ray stuff, went #4 in possibly the most horrible draft ever - honestly look at it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_AFL_draft

9 of the top 20 did absolutely flower all in the AFL, while all the others bar Cooney, Walker, Sylvia (kinda), Stants, Mundy, and Butler had meh to bad careers (Waters was solid/a thug when he played his 10 games a year).
The best player taken between 21 and 32 was Brad Symes.
Adcock at #33 and Blake at #39 the only half-decent guys between 33 and 40, then Zac Dawson went #41.
Four gun players (for this draft) went 43 44 45 46 in Brett Peake, Ricky Dyson, Amon Buchanan, and Michael Pettigrew.
Shaw, Fisher, Rischitelli and Tuck the only decent players taken after 46.

Ironically, the rookie draft gave more talent - Carrazzo, Aaron Davey, Nath Foley, Duffield, Lovett-Murray, and Lovett the rapist! Michael Johnson went in the PSD too

Doing that made me vomit tbh

Yeh I hate that

Surprised you think that!

Pick 3 for Hill, McCarthy and pick 14-16ish!

People overrate draft picks so much IMO

Hahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha

no.

Let's look at the last 20 Pick 3s.

1996: Rory Hilton
1997: Trent Croad
1998: Nic Fosdike
1999: Aaron Fiora
2000: Alan Didak
2001: Chris Judd
2002: Jared Brennan
2003: Colin Sylvia
2004: Ryan Griffen
2005: Xavier Ellis
2006: Lachie Hansen
2007: Chris Masten
2008: Stephen Hill
2009: Dustin Martin
2010: Sam Day
2011: Dom Tyson
2012: Lachie Plowman
2013: Jack Billings
2014: Angus Brayshaw
2015: Callum Mills

Granted the ones from the last couple of years are too early in their careers to properly know whether they would be worth it or not, I'd count 4 of those who actually would have been worth this proposed deal and even best case scenario, let's say the last 3 will all turn out to be worth it as well. That's a 7/20 hit rate for being better off with a Pick 3.

Didak
Judd
Griffen
Masten
Hill
Martin
Day
Tyson
Billings
Brayshaw
Mills

I rate all those over Brad "Daisy" Hill. Every nat pick has their spuds. Hill is an outside dog who gets flower all of the ball as is.

The question isn't who of that list is better than Brad Hill, the question is who on that list is better than Brad Hill, McCarthy and Pick 15 combined! You can't tell me you'd take Masten (as an 18 year old, but knowing he'd have the exact same career he's had up until this moment) ahead of McCarthy, Hill and pick 15 together.

Judd

Marchbank has nominated Carlton. They want a top 10 pick in return I thought of a potential trade scenario.

Pick 5* and pick 23* for Marchbank, pick 16* and pick 17*

Pick 16* and pick 17* for Tom Mitchell!

Don't think you're getting Mitchell Mat

Swans have offered 1.9M over 5, but apparently he's told people close to him that he's going to Hawthorn

Mat0369

Good luck to Hawthorn if they think they are getting O'Meara and Mitchell.

That's only 380k a year, Mitchell from what i've heard feels he's worth more than that, to be honest I think he is.

I thought it was more that he didn't want to leave Syd but the offers coming to him were a lot more than that? Rather than him expecting more

Story doing the rounds here in SA mate is he was asked to take less money this contract and he's not happy about it.
Only rumours though, nothing credible but's that what I heard.

Yes 380K is a rubbish offer he will get way more than that elsewhere but the Swans have the Buddy , Tippett ball and chain around there neck plus trying to keep all there other stars and quality kids , Mitchell won't be the only ones they lose in coming years

Hawks will now have pick 13 or 14 depending on the winner of tonight's game. Between that, Brad Hill and future picks, do we have enough to get both Omeara and Titch?
