I don't think melbourne did that poorly ... Toumpas is shower anyways so it's pretty much Kennedy and 29 for Howe and Toumpas for 50! That doesn't seem that bad to me!

Bell did go to Brisbane for family reasons which is why Carlton accepted less than what he was worth.

Bell's mother is deceased and his dad has cancer. He has teenage siblings. They live about 3 km from the Gabba.

Jeremy Howe is the big loss for the Dees. I would say Toumpas = Bennedy are of equal standing atm. Both just have potential (however, neither have shown promise at AFL level yet).

Excited nonetheless. Hoping Toumpas can reinvigorate his career

The points system for evaluating draft picks is only relevant if you are planning on making F/S or academy selection. To every other club they are irrelevant and the most valuable pick they can get is the earliest pick they can get.

I honestly only thought Carlton (a lot of potential F/S selections this season), Sydney, GWS, & Brisbane would be worrying about the points this year. I'm not sure why the Demons are worrying about it  :-\

I could see Brisbane saying "flower Aish" and just trading him to Nth for Bastinac. Aish would likely sign that contract because it's between them and Carlton. He should not have a say in which club he's going to, unfortunately the AFL's rules entitle 2nd year players to have that undeserved right.
