so Pies might get Howe, Aish and Treloar? :o
Well yeh, that's been their goal all trade period
I heard North might get Aish, giving us Bastinac plus a sweetener

Except for Adelaide's offer of pick #28 for Jimmy Toumpas ;)

Why the fridge wouldn't they? ??? They are happy to pay overs for a former #76 draft pick and receive unders for a #27 pick (Kerridge) Why not bring in a skilful local boy? ???

Because Jimmy T won't want to waste more of his career at the Crows  :P

Hahah why does his draft position matter now? We should just trade Sloane for pick 44 then

Or we just don't want to waste our time on a spud? ;)

Nah im saying that if Seedsman who only played a dozen games this year commands a second rounder and then Kerridge, who has kicked 6 goals in a game and run with some of the best in the midfields and only gets a third rounder?

There is no way pick #38 will be better than Kerridge a former #27, not for years anyway

Something is a little skew whiff

Mat0369

Ummm, how many games did Kerridge play this year? I can also pick and choose one off games and add the fact Seed won the ANZAC day medal

The latter  ;)

& Tbag, by that logic we would be giving the Dees pick 4 for Toumpas (no flowering way is he worth that!)

Please stop trying to pretend 18 year old untried kids are better than guys who have competed at the top level

Cam Wood has experience at the top level but he isn't worth a half drunk can of coke

No they aren't, but they have the potential to be better than guys who have competed at the top level. There would be no point to the draft if people had your mentality.

Every flowering player at one point in their life was an untried kid. Seedsman is alright, but I can name around 30 kids in the draft who will probably be better than him within the next 5 years for so.

Conversely, not everyone who has competed at top level is good - that's the point of delistments. Jesse Hogan was  significantly better than a lot of players who had competed at the highest level... In his first game (so was Touk Miller, so is just about every debutant because it's the point of the flowering draft, sustainability is the key word).

A lot of the kids in this draft are already better than the bottom 10 on each team's list... (most of which have competed at top level). You cannot just form these subjective black and white opinions. Jake Lever was better in his first game than Kyle Cheney will ever be (they are Crows players so I think that's the best way for you to comprehend how incorrect that statement was)

Yeah what he's said doesn't make any sense. If it were true, the AFL would last the span of the first draftees (and then coaches would not draft again out of fear of recruiting "18 year old untried kids")

Anyway Kerridge is worth a 3rd rounder at the most.

Injury prone and a bit of a spud - good for Carlton because he has experience tagging (however, why do you think he was the tagger at the Crows Tbag? It's a role designated to midfielders who aren't good enough to play a major role but are still athletic enough to be worth fielding - the tagger is usually the worst mid in the team except in the case of offensive or soft taggers, however Kerridge was a hard tagger).

Hard taggers are spuds - even Crowley was a spud midfielder until Ross Lyon made him tag

TomK

Kerridge can actually be a pretty damaging midfielder when let loose, spuds don't usually kick 6 goals and win the game for their team. He would've been getting games at the end of this season after his injury but we had too many players competing for the same spot and with the emergence of Knight, he couldn't get in.
