Hampton to Adelaide is more or less done now

Mike Pyke is set to retire after the B&F according to afl.com.au

Still has a year to run on his contract, but leaving early helps Sydney's chance of getting Luey

Apparently Freo will be offering GWS their first round pick for the next 2 years for McCarthy

Dogs interested in giving Bian Lake a part time specialist coaching gig. With Talia on the way out we should offer him a year or two and make him reconsider retiring. He's still good enough.
I like it! Give him a year to be a playing mentor for the younger dogs then give him a coaching role!

Walker and Geelongs pick 28 for Henderson
We then give pick 20, 28 and our first round next year for Treloar!?

That seems good to me ...
Keeps pick 1 for Weightering as well!

20, 28 and next years first rounder is not enough IMO for Treloar

If I'm Carlton, I'm offering this years first pick you have in a heart beat

If Tyson fetched Melbourne's Pick 3, Treloar is easily worth that or better and GWS would demand that surely

Aish + Treloar for Collingwood would be a huge offseason in terms of trading.

I'd be happy to then sit and back and let the next 2-3 years unfold, because without being bias we are building a mighty impressive list with players all over the ground. Will be a premiership threat by 2017-2018 I think.

Toovey, Frost, Brown
Williams, Reid, Langdon
Sidebottom, Treloar, Adams
Elliott, Moore, Swan
Crisp, Cloke, Grundy
Witts, Pendlebury, Greenwood
Aish, De Goey, Varcoe, Scharenberg, Fasolo, Oxley, Broomhead, Macaffer, Marsh plus others

That looks unreaaaaal, 10 top 20 picks (Aish, Shaz, De Goey, Treloar, Adams, Pendles, Sidey, Broomhead, Grundy, Reid, Elliot (first round pick trade), who are all super talented. The future looks very very bright
Shame that Aish is going to carlton 8)
But that could be a premiership contender next year :o
What about Grundy?

Not sure if this has been posted yet ?

Carlton swooping on Treloar

Adam Treloar's wish to move to Collingwood via a trade reportedly hit a roadblock on Thursday when rival clubs ramped up their bid to snare him from Greater Western Sydney.

Carlton was said to be among the clubs inquiring about Treloar to the midfielder's management, according to the Herald Sun. It is also reported that GWS is open to dealing with clubs other than Collingwood.

"We will deal with whoever can offer us the best possible deal," a Giants spokesperson said.

The Herald Sun reported the Magpies were prepared to offer GWS this year's No.7 pick in the NAB AFL Draft as well as a second-round selection from next year's draft.

However, Carlton's offer to Treloar, who grew up supporting the Blues, would be more generous financially.

It's enough. 20 and 28 is enough points to secure Kennedy under the academy bidding, and keep in mind next year's first rounder will be #1-3

Melbourne gave up 2 and 20 for Tyson and pick 9 (Salem) so it wasn't just a straight swap.

Melbourne also got pick 9 in return in that trade.

Carlton intend on a couple of first round picks for Yaz and Hendo (not Josh Walker), I think they on trade these picks as part of the deal along with a player as a set of steak knives. We then use pick 20 as part of the deal for Plowman and co while using the Bell pick for father son selections. We will likely need our 2nd and 3rd round picks for Rice and Jack Silvagni

They'lk get Weitering with Pick 1. I daresay they need him more than they need Treloar.

Freo's big McCarthy offer

Dockers' next two first-round picks on offer for Giant, manager says

Is two first-round draft picks - one this year and one next - too much for the Dockers to offer the Giants for Cam McCarthy?

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-10-09/dockers-to-offer-two-firstround-picks-for-giant-mccarthy

Well there not very high draft picks are they .. almost like 2 second rounders  :-X

shaker

As we have seen there are no sure things in the draft even No1 if they can get Treloar the Blues would be crazy to let him slip is what I'm thinking

Also my prediction for first trade

The Crows have been reasonable in this negotiation process

Curtly Hampton for 2nd rounder

The Crows could strain things along by initially asking to only give  a 3rd rounder so I see this trade being one that will be quickly completely and makes both clubs happy. I would say it's as good as done already.

First trade; Curly Hampton to the Crows
