We had like $1.5mil; Beams at 700k, Christensen around 400k (i think), lost Patfull, and now whatever we're paying Robbo. So I'd imagine we'd still have a bit, but obviously nowhere near as much as before haha

Also remember we have had Brown, Molney and McGrath retire as well which also frees up money. I still think we are still only 96% of salary cap so can bank under new rules. We will still have sufficient room to chase a key forward next year if Freeman, Close, McStay and Paporone do not develop quickly, Have also heard the rumour about Carlisle coming but nothing concreted to go on.

Can someone explain please why Mitch Robbo was so unwanted?

Teams knew they would get him for free (like Brisbane did) so he wasn't going to get picked up in a trade. The deal was probably signed during the trade period.

Also a couple of extra things on Mitch. This won't surprise anyone but he has ADHD, he also was not taking any meds for it for two reasons. The first is that most ADHD medication falls under the banned substance policy (this was talked about a while back when Fev was interviewed on the Footy Show) and the club liked him in 'Mad Mitch' mode. This would also explain the brain snaps on the field and his lack of consistency since it mainly effects his concentration and ability to take in info.

More support for Jones, Tyson and Viney in close might see these guys spend a bit of time resting forward and becoming dangerous there. Could also be insurance if Trengrove never fully recovers.
