Eddie McGuire has said Collingwood won't release Rodney Eade to the gold Coast until the Sounds hand the pies compensation for his loss.

McGuire told the Herald Sun on Tuesday the pies would need to pay a premium to replace footy boss Eade and then have to apply the new football department tax on that wage.

Eade has told the Pies he will accept a three year deal to coach Gold Coast with the Sounds board set to rubber-stamp that appointment this week

To be fair, pretty such he still had 2 years (might only be 1, not 100%) left on his contract at the Pies

We complain that contracts mean nothing these days when players break them... Same should go for coaches
