Is that a reference to Carlton's entire list? Or trading a late national pick for a young key forward? :P

and one last one

Trade paperwork lodged:
Adel Crows exchange Rd1 pick (curr. 10) and Rd3 pick (curr 47) to Geel for Rd1 pick (curr. 14)& Rd2 pick (curr. 35).
Well, that's......interesting.

Very! Not sure about this one tbh...
Adelaide would be confident they can still get their boy at 14 and get a late upgrade for basically no loss

This ^

We did it last year with Collingwood as we were pretty certain that Dom Sheed would slip to pick 11. By downgrading our first rounder we acquired N28 to send to Brissie for Yeo.

Should be a win-win.

any reason why trade period is so short?

Short, two weeks is to long mate.

shows you don't have any XV Teams lol  :P

Haha to right mate, those comp trading periods are to much pressure for an old bloke.  :P

Nige

Picking who the Pies and Cats will select with 5 and 10 respectively is going to be annoying.  :P

Did West Coast and Freo forget about the time difference?

lol it wasn't like we weren't trying mate! We throw huge offers at blokes then they use it against other clubs :(

Got to be frustrating over there at the moment. Hard to attract players it seems.

It is, but I don't think its a huge loss. I didn't rate a lot of what we could have had. Varcoe? Pfft. Christo? Had his heart set on QLD. Lucas? Delisted FA perhaps.

And Frawley for Freo could have been great but good lord would they have had to overpay for him.

Extremely frustrating mate. But our squad is good enough, so we'll build from internally

meow meow

Pick 37 for Biggs and 39

I would have taken a straight swap of Biggs for Cooney. Really rate him from what he has shown at AFL level so far. The Swans rated him high enough to play him in 2 finals last year.

Swans seem to be happy enough to let Membrey walk for nothing too. What's going on up there?

Apparently Biggs has been on the rookie list for 3 years now and needed to be upgraded or delisted... Since they had committed to upgrading Xavier Richards and Jake Lloyd, and so didn't have the room/salary cap space to have Biggs on the senior list and so had no choice but to get rid of him it sounds like it...

As for Membrey, I have no idea why they didn't just take what they could get for him...

Grazz

Swans loss is the Saints gain. Will be a very cheap get for the Saints.

elephants

Somewhat surprised they upgraded Richards over Biggs
