That makes a lot of sense. At the same age Beams was averaging 100 in SC, had played 30 more games including a Premiership.

Jack Crisp averaged 85.5
Dayne Beams average 84.8

84.8 is not greater than 85.5

Oh my mistake. I just looked at Beams averaging 100 in his 3rd year on an AFL list and Crisp averaging 85 from his 6 games in season 3. Lock him in for 100+ next year then?

I think Nails is being a tad sneaky by saying that Crisp averaged 85.5 when he was 20, and Beams averaged 84.8 when he was 20 :P

Can't argue with his logic. 20 is 20.

Yeah SC scores, they tell the true story of a players value

Just ask Pendlebury, Rockliff, Ablett who all missed finals

Then ask Boaky, Hodgey, Burgoyne, Franklin, Walters, Westhoff, Zeibell, Swallow ect..

Hmmmmmm

@AFL_petryan: Could Cheney join @Adelaide_FC? http://t.co/PvCl6fYOsm #tradeperiod
Well, that ends the Hawks premiership window

Rebuilding phase. We'll be back in contention in a decade.

elephants

Waaaait, so SC scores don't make someone a good player? But finals success does?

Geez, Ablett has been shower since he left Geelong then I guess.

kilbluff1985

Tex - Didn't make finals
Tippett - Made GF
GUNston - Won GF

I agree with you 100% teabs.

Are you kidding me? So everything CD records in their view makes a good player but what they don't like doesn't? :o

Just an example, use your own flowering brains to work stuff out and stop letting the stats fool you into what you are supposed to think

if a player averaged 30 touches a game and on average 25 were contested with 85% efficiency i'd say he would be a gun

Except that doesn't happen

Who decides what is or isn't an effective disposal anyway? CD? They get it wrong, nobody's perfect, especially CD
