If I was the Dogs I'd be asking for him. One of Boyd, Cameron or Patton + pick(s).

Would think it would be in there best interests going forward to either consider Patton + Giles in a trade for Griffen, or to take picks 4 and 7 and draft well.

Griffen turns 29 next season. Most players drop off at 31yo...

Surely Cameron (super gun) or Boyd alone would be worth more than Griffen. GWS aren't going to pay through the nose for a guy who has like 2 good years left. He was hopeless this season too.

The asking prices being mentioned here is ridiculous.

Just as 5 and a senior player is over for Beams, 4 and 7 is over for Griffen.  His Career average is is very similar to Beams and Redden.  Patton or Giles plus pick would be fair imo. Giles would even help Minson.

If GWS are prepared to offer picks 4 and 7, clearly they don't think he is hopeless. I just said it would be in the Dogs bests interest to ask about one of Boyd, Cameron or Patton in a trade for Griffen.

Going to be interesting to see what repercussions (if any) this trade will have on the Beams trade. But yeah, Giles would be a great addition and should be considered.

It's not stats based Ringo. 23 touches from Griffen are magic and 23 touches from redden are decent. Big difference between them

Beams situation... might be interesting to see what he says about all this if anything when he gets back from his holiday with Heater, Sidey and Young.

Griffen wanting to leave is huge, interesting to see how this works out. I wonder if Cal Ward had a word in his ear, seems to have worked out well for him. Dogs should maybe look at getting in Giles as part of the deal, would be handy.

If Greenwood stays, well that's flowering interesting after the drama of the past couple of days.

Pick 19 is effectively a 2nd round pick. Carlton should not be trading pick 7, it is counterproductive to what they should be trying to do as a club this year.
