Can I ask why there is so much hate for Varcoe?

I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as people are making him out to be.

Like honestly, he's played 125 games for one of the better teams in the competition since 2006 and has got two premiership medals to his name so he's obviously decent enough.

However true, when he was linked to the demons as part of the Clark trade, I was the opposite of keen to get him  :-\

Maybe it's just the lack of potential to be better than what he currently is? I think he may have over-achieved in his career. Not saying being in the best 22 in 2 premiership sides is easy mind you.

Similar to the pick up of Vince last season which I'd say has been a success. Although Cooney is obviously a bit more injury prone.
