Well Petrie is only contracted until the end of next season so you would assume he'll retire then.

Even though Petrie has one year and Waite has two, they've got Aaron Black, Ben Brown and Mason Wood plus whichever one of Tarrant/Daw is retained.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him go on longer, especially if North, as many expect them to, will be pushing for premiership success around 2016.

Yeah you'd think so. Black Brown and Wood will most likely be the midfield in future years, unless they bring in another.
