Lyons + Grigg + CEY + Pick 13
For
Gibbs + Daisy

Probably never happen but it works for both parties I reckon and Kerridge + Wright have turned out pretty damn good.

fanTCfool

I'm keen on Lyons and Grigg to come to the Blues, I'll give you Daisy + Pick 23 for Lyons + Grigg  ;)

ESPN reporting that Bryce Gibbs is open to a trade to Adelaide

Didn't he knock them back a few years ago by re-signing with Carlton?

He's 2 years into a 5 year deal. At 600k a season the Crows should be able to easily pick that up.
Can someone explain how Adelaide would have the space to fit Gibbs in after just re-signing both Crouch and Jenkins? Surely only Collingwood would have enough space.. Or are they capped out?

Danger would of been on decent cash.
Crows by all reports i've heard generally don't tend to overpay their players and usually hover around the 94% or whatever it is that they have to spend each year out of the salary cap according to AFL rules etc.
If Thomo doesn't get a contract there's more cash, even if he does get another year it could well be for less money.
We would have a bit of cash available for the right player I reckon.

As far as Gibbs knocking us back in years gone by I think we've had 3 or 4 goes at trying to get him over here without any success obviously.

Tonnes of rumours flying round as they always are this time of year, I'll believe it when someone signs or actually comes out and says I want a trade to the Crows otherwise it's just all hot air. I really hope though that we are looking hard for a quality midfielder, we need more firepower in the guts that's glaringly obvious to me. So i'm hoping we are asking questions about Gibbs Rocky etc not sure Hartlett is enough for us to improve considerably i'd rather persist with some of the younger guys we have and be patient for another 12-18 months.

Money Shot

Lyons, Ellis Yolman, Knight, Grigg, Wigg, Dear

For

Gibbs and Thomas

Sounds good to me ;)

Danger was on $700k at Adelaide

He's now on $800k at Geelong (Adelaide were willing to offer him upwards of a million dollar contract so they had to take it to the trade table)

The Crows certainly have space in the cap to go after 1 or 2 elite players

I honestly don't think Hartlett will move at this point - Port want a top 10 pick or an elite player for him and I don't see any club offering that - we must also remember that Hartlett and the Player's Association has all the leverage.

We really flowered up by giving these long-term contracts to Hammer & Lobbe

700k was it, cheers mate, definately a bit there to play with and have a crack at someone if their keen to move and have lots of candles and candle holders for the odd power failure.  :-[

Hartlett and Lobbe's contracts are hurting now I agree but at the time it seemed like a good move to lock them away.
Lobbe's form was good playing pretty good footy, Hartlett the same . Gone pear shaped now wouldn't of seen that coming at the time though to be fair.

Haha yeah no chance that happens imo - there is some talk Rioli misses Buddy though :p

Hoping the Eagles play for Titch is legit! He's just what we need!
