They didn't have to give up pick 8. Just cost themselves a chance to get 3 guns instead of 2.

Weit, Shac, Weid, Francis, Parish, Curnow, Balic could be the top 7, then GWS would have been able to take Milera and could still pick up the academy players with later picks.
I think it may have something to do with a kid in the academy next year. No idea who though

They really mustn't rate those players.
Pick 8 for Geelongs first is a win for us!
28 for Lamb, Summer, Phillips and Plowman is a win!
Really if one of those players becomes a decent player we easily win! All 4 have potential!

Pick 95. LOL, why does it even exist? haha

I think Geelong have to use a few late ones :S Min 3 picks (including rookie elevations), what's their first pick this year?
Geelong have 11 players out so far with only 4 incoming and their first pick is 67 :o

Jay

Carlton lost the Kerridge trade, but then more than made up for it on the next one!

Looks like the rumour yesterday was right.

Saints are going to try and turn Pick 14 in Freo's Lachie Weller.

Even if they all flop you could still argue it as a win.

Carlton done very well in that trade, potentially why they were prepared to accept unders for Menzel.
+1

Hampton, Plowman, Phillips, Lamb, Sumner. GWS are just clearing cap space so they can give a big F U to Collingwood and resign Treloar. They leaked the video to get the fans hopes up.

Reports are Carlton trying to offer 20 and 21 for a higher end draft pick. Reportedly 20 and 21 for bulldogs pick 11 is on the table.

Don't know if I would be happy or sad about that :o

What do they have to bid for Silvagni? Is he a 25-30 selection or will he be further down the order?

He should be an early 3rd round pick!
