Herald Sun have printed an article saying we are 5 years off making the 8 and 7 off being a finals contender. I stopped reading when it said we should trade Hendo for Josh Walker or Kersten straight up.....

Not only is it out of date since Hendo has already been traded for a future first, we won't be playing finals for 10 years if we do what this halfwit is saying

So what is going to happen is picks 15 + 18 from Hawthorn go to Essendon for Carlisle.

Then Essendon on trade picks 15 + 18 for GWS pick 8

GWS then pay a cheaper price using picks 15 + 18 for their academy players (they will have pick 7 when the Treloar deal is sorted)

Watch this space.

apparently Carlisle's camp are not interested in dealing with Hawthorn. looks something like 5 > Carlisle + 25, then hopefully we can do the deal you're talking about by adding our other second rounder and get Carlisle and pick 8

not sure we'd be able to pull that off but would be happy days if we did

I don't get why Carlisle woudn't go to Hawthorn? They are not going to drop off much in the next few years.
