Nuh it doesn't but does give them another elite Mid allowing Fyfe to spend more time up forward. If they can somehow still grab a Fwd then they've done very very well this draft.

Bennell + an insignificant pick downgrade is impressive

It will flower over Port's deal with Dixon (they already want more than pick 10) but from an impartial view the Dockers have done the right thing (there was literally no way they were getting McCarthy and until they realised that the Bennell deal would never be completed)

They need to now focus on Aaron Black imo - they could land him with pick 22 in a straight swap
