Just wait til Beams goes to Gws to be with Heath Shaw and lions playing hardball will bite them in the ass.

So not sure how much weight this carries but there's this from Tim Rosen:

- Don't get too excited about this Kangas fans, as I can't 100% confirm it yet...but I've heard there is still a chance Levi Greenwood stays

- My understanding is that hewas reluctant to leave, even after "poor" offers from the Kangas, but was encouraged to look elsewhere by manager

- Can now confirm that Greenwood is considering staying. There is still a chance Kangas supporters!

That's interesting! Will make it harder for Brisbane to get Beams if that is the case I think

That is crazy! What the hell has happened down at Whitten Oval?

Any reasons given?

Statement from ESP: "After ongoing consultation with the Bulldogs, his family and management, Ryan Griffen has requested a trade to GWS"

"At 28, Ryan feels a fresh start outside Melbourne after 202 games with the
Western Bulldogs is the right thing for him."

"The decision has not come lightly and has been extremely difficult for all
involved."

"It has been made with the intent that the Bulldogs are duly
compensated for granting Ryan a release from the final year of his contract."

In other news...

1.24pm: Breaking news: The Advertiser is reporting Port Adelaide and Essendon's controversial plan to make ruckman Paddy Ryder a free agent has been blocked by the AFL. We'll have more as it comes to hand.

No surprises there really IMO, seemed dodgy from the outset

Update: Carlton to get Jaksch and Mark Wiley + 19 in exchange for pick 7, then GWS to use pick 4 and 7 FOR Griffen.

Surely that's overs... Just pick 4 is fair for him
