Finally! Seems like a fair deal for both parties.

About Beams, I don't blame Collingwood for playing hard ball. He's one of the top mids in the comp and he's still young. Pick 5 + Pick 25 or a player such as Lester is no where near Beams' value. Collingwood want two first round picks back or the equivalent, which is fair.

but they can turn 5 and 25 into 5 + Greenwood

They don't want 25 though, they can easily trade their second rounder for Greenwood anyway.

Hmmn. Not sure how I feel about this.

Time to get back on the trading bandwagon, and boy do I have a monster trade for you all!

Brisbane gives: J. Redden + pick 5 + pick 25
Brisbane receives: D. Beams + A. Christensen

Geelong give: T. Varcoe + A. Christensen + pick 14
Geelong receive: M. Clark + pick 5 + pick 30

Collingwood gives: D. Beams, H. Lumumba + pick 30
Collingwood receives: J. Redden, L. Greenwood, T. Varcoe + pick 16

Brisbane gives: J. Redden + pick 5 + pick 25
Brisbane receives: D. Beams and A. Christensen

North gives: L. Greenwood + pick 16
North receives: pick 14 + pick 23

Melbourne give: M. Clark + pick 23
Melbourne receive: H. Lumumba + pick 25 + pick 35

Monster trade I know, but it might work out for all parties. Essentially, its two three way trades combined. One for Clark-Lumumba-Varcoe, and then one for Beams-Greenwood-Redden.

I'd be happy from a North perspective, feels about right for Greenwood (early 2nd round) + pick upgrade. Rest don't really care, fight over it. :P

the few picks between Brisbane and Pies 2nd rounder might be the difference between North accepting it for Greenwood or not pick 25 looks better then pick 29

haha. Awesome.

I feel thats about right for O'Rourke. Late first round pick and a pick downgrade. Fair to me.

Honestly think Redden + N25 is a fair trade. But Brissie will never let Redden go, and I don't think Redden would want to go tbh

Brisbane giving up way to much they would never do it Beams is worth Redden and Christensen is worth pick 25ish but pick 5 is way overs

cool he will just screw them over and quit next year and they get nothing ::)
Won't he be restricted next year? So Collingwood can just match any offer and keep him until he eventually becomes unrestricted...

He'll be out of contract next year so he simply has to walk to the PSD if no deal gets done. Hope for his sake that Collingwood get him to Brisbane this year though.

Yeah Beams = Redden + N5 pretty much.
Christo > 25, so I don't know.

But that looks quite fair to most teams WC. Good stuff.

really depends what the 2nd deal is

the fact they are exploring letting ryder go and getting compo for seems a bit dodgy
but it is exactly what richmond want us to do with winderlich
and exactly what stkilda and nicky dal done last year

only reason anyone bats an eye atm is because it is essendon

Richmond just want to pick Winderlich up as a FA though? I didn't think they wanted to do any shoddy secondary deals where some spud is supposedly worth a first rounder.

This ^

Nothing wrong with arranging the player to go FA, the problem is going to be pre-arranging a dodgy second deal where Essendon ship off an average player for Port's 1st round pick.
