I think C x3 and VC x2 warrants a lot of consideration.

Even if getting the best of the best means grabbing a dirty nasty cheap donut.

So if you think Fyfe (who you can't afford because of some def spud you've picked) is the best, then have a look at the points difference between

Fyfe x 3 plus a donut AND a really good mid x 3 plus spud def's 45.

Might be worth thinking about.

Absolutely. Though I think there are good enough value picks out there that copping a donut isn't necessary, and also I reckon most people will lock in two guns for C/VC, and the donut choice is more likely to be something like a McVeigh, Eski + donut vs Smitchell, Lake and Morris or something like that. Still definitely a tactic to consider.

Lake Stratton and a $96K donut (sounds like an offer from a travel agent)
Fyfe and Selwood Swallow Lewis (leaves a sour taste in one's mouth)
Brown
Buddy Gray Walters

Love to hear your thoughts.

I disagree. This game is more about searching for value for money. I'd rather go R. Gray over N. Fyfe. Both are capable of scoring 150+ but Gray is much cheaper.

Would rather R. Gray + K. Turner over say N. Fyfe + H. Marsh anyday.

It's more a %age choice option, yes Gray and Fyfe both CAN go 150+ but who is more likely to? It's a bit like Ablett vs Pendlebury, both are guns and CAN go big but if you had to back one as captain from now until infinity, most people would go Ablett...

Selwood's record vs hawks isn't great but he does step up where it counts so could be worthwhile. Swallow a little "meh" for me at that price, obviously salary cap is tough but I'm not sure he's great value - Zaha, Smitchell, M.Thomas all a little less. Accept your logic on the donut but not sure you've made the most of the saved cash...

Something tells me that Gray has a better chance, he's playing at home for start.
