yeah before the trade period i was planning to take him but now my forward line is looking semi decent with depth so don't really need him

However, I can now reveal this was the guy we were actually also considering at Pick 1. He was close to slipping to out second pick :(

Averaged 78 (in DT) in his last eight games last season and also handily should be a ruc/def next season.

memph he will probs just be a defender

I don't think so. He may lose it the season after but Blicavs covered enough in the ruck this year for him to keep it. He recorded hitouts in every game bar one and had totals of 10 or more in 11 games this year.

He also played a couple of games as the Cats main ruck including the last final.

He's a really interesting one in terms of position - he played more football in defence but also was used all around the ground from ruck to defender to forward to the wing.
