Brisbdane Lions might once again have the best midfield in the comp

roo boys!

Would have to send Hanley back to defence and Zorko up forward wouldn't you? That's an insane midfield.

Yep, and Rich would be spending a fair bit of time playing half back as well

Won't win you anything though..

Who's to stop the goals and who's to kick your goals?

In a few years time, Gardiner, Cutler and Clarke will have developed further, along with Harwood, Adcock, Hanley, Rich
Then in forwards, Freeman, Close, and Squizzy will be better, and we'll still have Zorko and Green as well
McStay so far showing he can play either end, Bewick can go half back and half forward

Going after Beams (if possible) wouldn't be something that all of a sudden fixes everything, it just gives us more midfield depth which we may need if we get a repeat of this year regarding injuries

our defence is set for 4-5 years time. Forwards work in progress but close and freeman have shown glimpse's

Bold denotes spuds

With the team as it is + Beams will be a very good team, but if they want a premiership they'll need to target, through trades, FA or draft, key position players.

Squizzy a spud? Green a spud? Coming from the guy calling Ablett a spud?

Just because they aren't fantasy relevant doesn't make them spuds.

Also I tried to bold your name.

I don't even play fantasy anymore so that point is invalid. Green is mediocre at best, Taylor lucky that this year's draft class was average, and even then it's not like he's a 40 goal a year forward.

As a pies fan, you'd know what a poor forward line is like.

Oh sorry I didn't know that a first year small forward had to be a '40 goal a year forward' to be even considered as "not a spud".

I can't believe that an Essendon fan is bagging anyone's forwards line....glass houses mate.

I am sure you are aware that Green has kicked more goals than any bombers players this year.

Also if my point about 'just because they aren't fantasy relevant doesn't make them spuds' is "invalid" then why did you call Ablett a spud? Purely from a non-fantasy prospect you are saying he is a spud? Or you quit in between your comments so your opinion has changed?

Gardiner has shown a lot of promise in the backline this season, especially as a new player coming into one of the weakest teams. Cutler and Clarke will also be something players, not spuds. Forward line still needs a proper KPP but I wouldn't write off Freeman so soon either. The future is bright down at the Lions, that's for sure.

Taylor isn't going to be a 40-goal a year forward. They need a goal-kicking forward to succeed, most likely. Duh.

Who is Joe Daniher? Or Carlisle.

If Green is so awesome why is he 15th and us 7th (seventh).

I never called Ablett a spud, I called his 2013 fantasy prospects at his price a spud selection. l2read

Gardiner, Cutler nor Clarke will ever make an All-Australian team, or set any records, or be desired by other teams.
