Scooter,Yeo and Ellis Could be back this Week

Senior coach Adam Simpson has bemoaned the trend of losing players almost weekly to injury, but having few of them working their way back through the rehabilitation process to be available.

That trend could change for the better this week.

Unfortunately emerging midfielder Mark Hutchings looks likely to fulfil the first part of the on-going equation and is probably going to miss this weeks clash with the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium.

But the flip side could be that midfielders Scott Selwood, Elliot Yeo and Xavier Ellis could be queueing up to fill the spot.

Selwood has not played since round 11 because of an ankle injury, Yeo has recovered from a broken hand suffered against Gold Coast in round 13 and Ellis is making strong progress from an AC joint problem from two weeks ago.

Each has been listed a test this week and will doubtless push hard for inclusion, given the enormity of the stakes for the club

Scott Selwood, Xavier Ellis, Nic Naitanui and Elliot Yeo all passed phase one of their quest to win selection in Sundays do-or-die clash with Gold Coast when they shone at training today.

The star West Coast quartet impressed in a skills session at Patersons Stadium and are pushing for inclusion against Gold Coast in what will either be a season-ending or season-defining match.

Seriously, he has looked so dejected this year and I am 99% sure its because he's taggin again, if he keeps tagging I would not blame him one bit for leaving the Eagles.  Pull your head in Simpson.

Yeah, but by now the eagles would really know if he is going to fulfill it or not, so leveraging some of that potential on an already good player might get someone to pay overs for him....
