It depends how important the money is to you.   $1.40 bet will make you 1K profit,, so play safe or go for the big pay day  :)

IMO go onto the punting board at BigFooty and ask for suggestions on how to hedge it. I'm sure someone there will have a good idea. It's a 2500 bet, so you want to make sure you get something for it rather than simply hoping. Anyway, you have 30 days to think about it, don't you?

I was under that impression.  Havnt read the rules to check though   ::)
  It would be a bit rough to make the winner put it all on a single bet and only keep the profits.

Yeh i agree mate, i wasnt suggesting thats what they would do ie all on one bet im sure Syd could have as many bets as he likes with the 2.5k i was just wondering if the tight @rses take their 2.5k back.

   I dont have that much gamble in me anymore, would probably play safe and try to just book a win.  :)  Either way lets us know what you put it on and we can Rail the bet with ya.   :)

Put the $2500 Free Bet on Hawks at the line @1.90 = 4750 - 2500 = $2,250
Deposit $1000 and put that on Geelong at the line @1.90 = $1,900

So you make $1,250 profit if Hawks win, $900 if Geelong wins

Its less than the $2500 that you had but at least your guaranteed to win around a grand

To get the same you'll have to find something at 1.40ish and you risk an upset
