The entire West Coast Eagles playing list, as well as coaching and administration staff, accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge today to help raise awareness and funds for Motore Neurone Disease (MND).

On Monday former Eagles footy boss Neale Daniher opened up publicly about his battle with MND in the aim to make more people aware of the disease.

The Ice Bucket Challenge has spread worldwide raising money for MND also known as ALS or Lou Gehrigs's disease.

Participants who are nominated for the challenge have 24 hours to either donate to an MND charity of their choice or they have to dump a bucket of ice water over their heads.

The West Coast Eagles players and coaching staff have donated $5000 towards the cause, and nominated Dennis Lillee, Hugh Jackman and Miranda Kerr to take the plunge next.
